What would you do if everyone thought you had died?

You are on a plane to go home. The plane has trouble and has to land. You decide to see the sights while the plane is being fixed. You lose track of time, and miss the plane. You figure you will catch the next flight out. You then find out the plane crashes, and you are on the list of the dead passengers that were lost at sea. You were unhappy in your former life. Would you phone home and let everyone know you are all right? Perhaps you could start a new life under an assumed name? Would you be happy in your new life? What would you do? Please take the time to think about the scenario.

If the plane crashes, the records would be lost with it, no?

Perhaps you could get a job, if needed.

I would agree with that. Fess up, and then go on with your new life.

It would be living a life of lies. It would be hard to live with them. I think it would wear down on a person, and they would not be happy after all.
