I have seen God's love -- felt it lift me up.
Several times miracles flowed into existence -- one as vivid as Moses parting the sea, and just as public.
What stands in the way from understanding God's love fully is ego.
The one time when ego vanished for me, I was able to see without human eyes for the first time in eons. Once again, I could see the light of spiritual sight. When I became self-conscious, ego returned and I lost that momentary vision.
Ego is the false self that Jesus talked about. Ego is selfishness. It is separateness -- the same separateness that was the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Ego is dichotomy -- good-evil, right-wrong, generous-selfish, wisdom-stupidity, compassion-indifference and many others. Ego is what keeps us from seeing.
Without ego, we have love. With 100% love, ego can never exist. Ego is vulnerability, but with 100% responsibility, you can no longer be a victim. With utter humility, ego disappears and unconditional love makes you "one with God," just as Jesus was.
