    Wow! It seems like you have read my mind! The first thing I did was make arrangements for my pets and scheduling necessary appointments for before I leave. I have also cut back on the "distractions" and caught a few glorious sunsets recently.

    I entirely agree with that answer. I found the distinction between tourist and pilgrim to be true on other pilgrimages as I took years ago. I especially like your mention of having an open mind and acceptance even BEFORE the pilgrimage. Thank you.
