There are only three verses in the entire bible that mentions the word anti-christ? Of the three verses the word anti-Christ is mentioned three times and anti-Christs is mentioned only once. One verse in 1 John 1: 22 (NKJV) states " Who is a liers but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ. He is anti-Christ who denies the father and son." Two other verses in 1 John also describes the anti-Christ a bit more. If we take the verses for what their worth then knowning who an anti-Christ is can be easy. I think there are far more anti-Christs today than many of us realize.

Why are so many Christians divisive? Did Jesus ask his Father to ensure that the Church was one or did he ask that they divide into factions, denominations, with each calling the other apostates because of disagreements over things that don't matter?
PandN- So that there is no misunderstanding, are you saying the the anti-Christ church is limited only to those who call themselves or concider themselves christian churches? Thank you.
Disappearinghead- Christ's true church is not denominational.
Grace. Who is deciding which is the true Church? The reason there are 10,000 denominations is because each one thinks they are the true Church. Or are you suggesting that the true Church are individuals hidden amongst them?
Disappearinghead- You are speaking of man made churches. I don't believe any man made church is the true church that Christ built. And I will not go further , because it's geting off subject Thanks
Graceinus - There are those (spirit of the anti-Christ) who openly deny Jesus Christ and there are those who are like Judas (son of perdition) who profess to follow Christ. Both deny the Son.
Planks just who are these people in the Church who you say deny Jesus Christ? Do you say they deny Jesus because they do not live in accordance with your interpretation of the bible?
PandN- Thank you for clarification and I very much agree.
Do you believe that truth is relative? If so, then all we are left to is our own personal opinions. Proper interpretation is the confirmation of God's Word that manifests spiritually and then objectively, which glorifies the Son.
Planks. Of course not, truth is absolute. However an individual's perspective is relative especially regarding biblical interpretation. Individuals think their interpretation is correct and given by the HS yet cannot see this is subjective.
tbHistorian- I believe there is a lot of truth in your statement. Thanks for your insight.
xavierdhs07- I believe 1 Johm 1: 22 clearly defines what type of person is an anti-Christ. Anyone who knows of the name Jesus Christ but DENIES He is the son of God is an anti-Christ. This means anyone and not limited to just those of religion.
JThomps42- I believe there needs to be some clarity here. Anyone who denies Jesus IS THE Christ. is an anti-christ. Without is clarity there is no way to claim He is the son of God. Many believe there was a Jesus, but not as God's son. Thanks JThomps
To clarify... those who do not believe in what he has done for all of mankind. The non-belief that he is our savior.
JThomps42- I believe this comment you just made goes hand in hand with the understanding that Jesus is the Christ. Many thanks again my friend.
JT you have summed it up nicely. According to John an anti-Christ is anyone who denies Jesus came in the flesh. It's quite simple, no mystery, no satan required.
Thank you DH.
