Jesus' blood was for our salvation but scripture also says His stripes were taken for our healing. What do you think that means? Isaiah 53:5

Yes I certainly do hang to that scripture. Great advice.
So how do they pay for these sins? Chastisement? Illnesses and diseases? We won't be paying for sins in Heaven so it has to be now. Right?
Sin was covered by the blood of Jesus on the cross. As he said, "It is finished." He paid that full price for the world's sins and it is available to all to be washed in His blood if they so choose.
Thank you; Mackyi for your answer to my question.
Still not understanding what your answer is to by His stripes we are healed. Does this means physical healing, besides being saved from damnation we should also live without disease & illness believing Jesus stripes took on our suffering & pa
What a lovely comment! The stripes that make us healed is that his body was given as a ransom for us. He took the torture for us to be forgiven. Adam gave us sin, Jesus bought us back so through his sacrifice we can be forgiven before God.

I too like the King James Version. It sounds more powerful. But the explanation is very good and is able to fulfill its purpose. I would not make a big deal about the different version of bible that was used.
no translation is to be trusted, must go to the original language/direct translation for correct understanding. King james was written for the king because he was threatened by the current days bible. not trustworthy for many reasons
