What I mean is there are some who really do not know that salvation is free and no way to earn it so will their wrong belief prevent them from going to heaven if they are trying to live by works? This is really a complicated thought but I would appreciate Christian thoughts on this or any scripture pertaining to it for proof.

Thank you MizB; it is easy to get hard feeling for churches who do not do right and many times I believe for financial gain because they want to keep their member happy; therefore giving.
Beautiful and I agree. I know people who believe they do plenty of good works and deserve heaven, I am sorry to say. But I knew someone maybe most innocent adult human on earth but believed if you did bad one day, happened to die, you went to hell.
Thanks Erin; very good answer and I am sure of my salvation but I ask because of someone I cared very much for who has passed on and although I know she loved Jesus I am not sure she understood salvation. I think many of us wonder about these things
Great answer Ann with great scripture.
Thank you Frog Prince.
You beat me to the scripture. That's the verse I always point people to as well.
Thank you both then for your thoughts with scripture.
Yes, one must confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. There is only one way to the Father, and that is through His son, Jesus.
True Faith but what if they are confused about salvation, really loving Christ but never thinking they are good enough & live each day failing to do everything right (which we know we can't) but they cannot grasp free? Does stupidity steal the so
Great answer; thank you very much. I hope many will read this.
I think this is a beautiful answer, especially " He who believes in me will also do the works that I am doing…" (J. 14:12). I think sometimes Christians confuse what Jesus said with the teachings of the Roman, Paul. Thank you Michael for the quotes.
