To answer both your questions, yes and yes! Feeling blessed doesn't begin with feelings, it begins with thoughts. To "feel" blessed I think about blessings in my life. This is something to choose to do moment by moment. When I feel "bad" and the negative thoughts start to take over, that is a trigger to answer the questions, "What is going well right now? What can I be thankful for?" I have to start small with the things around me (clouds, flowers, sunshine, etc.) and then build from that. There really is so much to be thankful for. When my thoughts are focused on good, my "bad" feelings begin to lift.
