Would exposing the existence of aliens end the world's religions or would it only create new ones

With science revealing the existence of multiple universes the mathematical probability of intelligent life forms outside of earth is great. What does this mean to the religious minded? Does it shed light on angels and demons as beings not of this world (aliens) or does it eliminate the entire concept of religion altogether? Could it be why the powers that be hide the concept of others beings in the universe from the masses to keep order and belief in their system?

This is a great answer. As are humans good and bad in their actions I believe the same would be for aliens. There would be some benevolent and some malevolent. I think it explains many religions more so than do away with them. Beings from the skies.
