I have to especial favorites: John 15:13-14 most Christians are familiar with the 13th verse but not as much the 14th. 13:"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." 14: "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." My second one is John 14:23 "If a man love me, he will keep my words, and my Father will love him and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.'

Included in charity is charitable thought. It is sorely lacking in politics and, in fact, in most of Christendom, even between various Christian faiths all of which base their doctrine on scriptures such as this portion you mention.
Smiling at your "favorite" as well as knowing where you are coming from. Thanks for adding to this growing collection of perspectives.
No problem, P.
Interesting choice. Many would call this the most troubling.
Troubling for those who claim a "loving" God, yes...
I would hope it be troubling to anyone. The whole notion is just hard to bear. I can see how it might be one of the most thought provoking and therefor a favorite to some.
