I believe violence is the absolute antithesis of our most cherished virtues: love, compassion and forgiveness. When you love someone, you embrace them and kiss them, you do not punch them, kick them, bite them, stab them or shoot them; when you feel compassion for someone, you wish to help them, not harm them; and when you forgive someone, you release the thirst for vengeance and wish them happiness and health. Violence may be necessary on occasion but it has absolutely nothing to do with love, compassion or forgiveness.
