Why are people allowed to post and not allow comment.

I was just notified of a new hub in the Christianity section.     It is pure foolishness and does not belong, but he gets to push his ideas with no worry about those with truth bothering him.  WHY?

Some author purposely removed the comment capsules because he doesn't want to answer

That should not be allowed on the Christian side, it promotes false doctrine as most all that do not allow coments are.

celafoe , It doesn't sound like the hub changed your beliefs! Everyone is entitled to have their own beliefs/opinion. Its not the writer's fault you chose to read what they had to say or disagree with them. They're not obligated to allow comments.

You too have the option to allow or disallow comments. Some writers opt to allow comments but delete those that disagree with what they have to say. Opinions are not journalism that require fact checking.

I personally would not get so caught up in what another writer decides to do with (their hubs). It's highly unlikely anyone ever reads a hub or answer to a question that (changes) their mind. Why should you care what someone else believes? Some people have no desire to debate with others therefore they don't allow comments. To each his/her own.

To the point answer. Quite demanding statement : " Why should you care what someone else believes?"-- unless living under the same roof, the same family...

Its not about what they believe but about them teaching erroneous /false doctrines as scripture.

celafoe, No one on HP is teaching anyone. Hubs are articles of (opinion) for the most part. Some people write poetry, about life experiences, or offer tips. I feel sorry for anyone who comes (here) to be "educated". Relax or write a rebuttal hub.

He gets to "push his ideas with no worry about those with truth" for the same reasons that you get to. If perceived foolishness is the criteria for  censorship, then everything posted in the Christianity section would be worthy of such.

Let me know how that works out for you at the judgement

I was merely pointing out the irony in your position, but since you've gone on a tangent...God made me exactly as he wanted me to be and the only judgment I will fail is not living up to the low bars set by men.
