Do you quickly admit it when proven wrong?

I know our egos have a tendency to get in the way, but when someone has clearly pointed out the error in our statements, actions or opinions, do you immediately admit it or do you let it stew in you for awhile? When I was younger I found myself being much more bullheaded than I am now. I dug in my heels for the battle. However, with age I have learned that just because I think something is true it isn't necessarily so. When it has been brought to my attention I was wrong (no matter what the topic/action) I immediately apologize and thank the person for bringing it to my attention. Do you?
