Yes! Each generation has been indoctrinated to believe that the bible is the word of a god. People are finally waking up about it. It was written and put together by people who thought the Earth was flat. Only a few people could barely read or write.
Anyone who sees the bible as a historical factual document is choosing faith over logic and science.
Having said that there are some pearls of wisdom that can be gleamed from some of the fables and parables. :)
"The kingdom of God is within"
It amazes me that some people, who still believe this nonsense, pretend that they read the bible for THEMSELVES, and found it to be completely accurate-- Deceiving themselves into believing that their continued belief is NOT based on INDOCTRINATION
The only difference is that the current atheists aren't afraid of Christians. Religious beliefs are challenged frequently. So many young people are starting to see religion for what it really is...Another one of the government's tools for control.
How does the U.S. government use religion to control people? I consider myself a believer in Christ who is free to think, say, and do as I please. In fact--were so "free" that our government is almost at an impasse and is being rendered ineffective.
Since there is no evidence whatsoever of any God to be found, it is clear that Governments from the past invented these gods as a way to control people by fear.US Government sanctions religion by granting tax exemption

Ignoring evidence doesn't mean it cannot exist. Jumping to conclusions based on a faulty foundation doesn't help you either.
Atheists and Jews were killed by Christians in the ancient time. Especially the Jews, killed every eastern!!! :D
Very good synopsis of the issue of the bible being written by mankind and not a god. Why would a god use paper to write on anyway?
