Growing up Catholic, I always felt the emphasis was on the philosophy and spirit of Christ. Old Testament study and emphasis by modern day Christians often seems to me , despite the obvious historical connection, the antithesis of Christianity. I really can't recognize the Christianity I knew with the rhetoric of modern day Christians. Many of their personal interactions appear Christian, but not their political leanings. What happened?

Rich: Yes, "itching ears!" World's problem: God is progressive. II Cor 3:18! Diff dispensations! Current: Grace! OT: Fulfilled! No "elementary religion" (law) but Grace (Gal 4:9;21-31)! Can't MIX the two!
Men have moved away fm what Christ died for (Jn 14:26 which came in Acts 2:2) & find they prefer "self effort" or the "LAW" (their works) guide them vs the Holy Spirit!
