That reminds me of one of my favorite quotes- 'The purpose of life is a life with a purpose.'
RL: Spoken like a "self sufficient" MAN! "..satisfying needs & wants?" As they say, "Live it up?" Not according to Bible! "Existing" is what 1 does when "Living it up!"
I mean the word "live" as I see it is a state related to biology in which the process of life is functioning and "exist" is the state of being an actual thing in reality, regardless of biology.
I'm in the habit of being literal
RL: And I "spiritual!"
"...life is functioning and "exist"
Using your analogy (biology), both "living" (biologically) & "existing" (biologically) are same in the "literal sense?"
No, living is a subset of existing. There is no analogy. I was merely and trivially filling the unoccupied seat of answering the more literal definition of the words. I do that often. It really DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. And as always, I may be wrong.
RL: " We "existed" (in sin), yet were not "alive" until "in Christ!" Man perceives "alive" as "breathing" which is merely "existing" if not "in Christ," according to Scripture!
