The robot would eventually find itself trying to follow contradicting rules...killing folks and loving them at the same time. And if u committed a crime on a Sunday, it would have to wait until next day to kill u...lest it would have to kill itself
If you worked on Sunday morning the robot could rightfully kill you that afternoon/evening when you returned home. LOL!
It would be good entertainment
The programmer would just type in the program word for word what the bible says. (Thy shall not steal, Thy shall not lie, and so on.) Lots of Christians believe what's written in the bible is "literal" and it's man who "twists" it.
Computers obey, we are not sure about Robots. lol
Brad - would the fact that an AI robot could choose to atheist be one of the serious problems? Or were there others you meant? (The way it's worded gives first impression) - if 1st is case...why would that be a serious issue? Just curious is all.
That was just an example. The fuzzy lines caused by the bible don't really give a computer driven robot any clear programming. The AI could take many unexpected turns because of fuzzy logic.
Subjective social rules have many interpretationms
There will be a human vs the bible law robots war. It will be like Terminator meet war against Christian version of Taliban. Ha ha ha :D
In the modern world, none of us could make it through a day, trying to live according to the inhumane, brutally oppressive laws in this ancient book.
You wouldn't even live long enough to worry about any of that.

I've seen people on here who've studied the Bible say that nowhere does it say the old testament is no longer in effect, and that Jesus said the new is supposed to enforce the old even more.
Is that true, or false?
Charlie, if it were to become a world run and based upon the sort of fanaticism your represent, I fancy a world run by a Robot might be a bit more reliable. Your narrow mind and your blinkered dependence upon a doubtful book is a no-no for me.
link- that is false . my hub "the true new testament tabernacle" will explain it in detail and i would be happy to answer any question, just email me. PS; studying and understanding are two different things. only the holy Spirit will reveall truth
Charlie, all I see here is your ego wanting to be a self-appointed expert. If you were a robot in my household I would get hold of a spanner, a screw driver and pliers, and immediately begin to dismantle you....not welcome in my house.
alan-- of course you have validated my reply
as a robot i would not be in your house , so, no worry. just stay where you are and you wont hurt anyone
Charlie, by setting yourself up to instill the "fear of god" in gullible people's minds, you are apt to hurt. I would warn each of those people against you.
Charlie, are u aware of the many denominations of Xtianity(including mine)that do not "understand" scripture? But you...yeah...you got the right understanding. Wow! Some of us are just so unique! Yep I did get the foolish answers I was looking for
And God knew this. Which means we have to continually grovel, begging him for forgiveness. God is so clever...awesome!
Life wouldn't be worth living...
To me it seems like a legit question. You answer either yes or no...then give the reasons as to why you answered the way you did.
That is indeed how people would answer if interpreting a rhetorical question as a more open question. But it still looks very much like a rhetorical question. I'll be surprised if anyone answers this question in the affirmative.
Ok, I will say Yes but only on condition the Robot is good looking and approachable. Regardless of intelligence....!
