   Why do we have faith in God during times of fear or loss?
   
   There are certain times that we start to gain faith in God, like times of loss or fear...Why is that? Is it telling us something?

   2Chronicles 16:9 tells why .Proverbs 28:10. Says we will run to him for protection. The key word that makes this work is his name.

   If you look through recorded history, you will find that God did nothing to control the evil, much less stop it. Millions of people die every year through no fault of their own. Allah is also a God, and he is the reason why we have terrorists killing in his name.
   
   Religion and God have been the main reasons for wars, killings, and injuries throughout history. It is as if there is NO God, just Evil.
   
   Quoting dead scripture that is 2000 years old is meaningless. They were written by mere MEN, as religion doesn't hold women on an equal level. They were not written contemporaneous with the events, and they contained no divine knowledge, only what humans knew of the world at the time.

      You seem to have convenced yourself to judge the one who created you.
      First if God created you , can he also create you again ?next did Jesus worry or Judge his Father because satan had attacked him.
      No Jesus life was restored.

   Yes, it tells you that human emotions are very hard to deal with and that the lack of control we have over our lives is scary.  There's nothing worse than losing a loved one and thinking that you'll never see them again.  Or fearing for your/a loved one's safety and knowing you have no control over what happens to you/them.
   
   So people turn to God because it's comforting.  It takes away the scary stuff.  Death doesn't seem as permanent if you think you're going to see them again.  Fear doesn't seem as debilitating if you think someone is looking out for you.
   
   It's a great coping mechanism, really.  In the darkest times in my life I've wished I had faith because it would have made things easier. 
   
   But being easy doesn't make it real.

   We should have faith rather during loss or when things are awesome, still consider yourself blessed. Pray to the heavenly father when life is awesome before situations are though. Praise Him anyhow.

   It is truly a beautiful thing and many believe it is the crux of why loss and fear exist. When things are going along just fine and wonderful. We get lost in the material and the social. Good health, good things, good family, good friends and good future. We just forget about the spiritual. We forget to look beyond the "things" of life. We get all linear and rational. We take full control of all around us. I ain't never heard of a person or heard a person on their death bed that said "I wish I had more and loved less". But we have all heard or experienced the opposite. We are just drawn to the "things" of life and seem to forget the spiritual of life. Strange that we are made that way. Maybe we had to be for reasons beyond our comprehension.
   So these tragedies come along and we first cry "why me". Then we look for solace. We should have been looking for solace all along. We reach a crisis where direct material action oriented stuff just will not cure the problem. So then we look to where we should have been looking all along.
   I like to think of it as "welcome me home", I should never have strayed in the first place.

   It is through those times that we draw closer to Him because we need Him, and we don't always acknowledge or know that we do.  I have read many accounts of sick people and paralyzed people who say they are closer to God now because of their affliction.  That does not make it fair or okay, but God is willing to do whatever it takes to save us.  That is not the case for everyone though.  You do not have to be suffering to get close to God.

   Fear or loss are moments in life which clearly exposes an individual's vulnerability to failure in life. The individual in fear or loss understands one's own limitations as against the unreal, fallacious and boastful egoism he held in life time. This recognition of ones true limitations in life make the person surrender to the almighty God / Goddess. It is a very positive sign.

   Have you ever heard of a "Crisis Christ?"  MOST have not exercised the POWER of God for "daily living!"  We know Matthew 19:26 says (as your picture portrays) "With God "ALL" things are possible," but those who don't realize "ALL" things" means precisely that:  "ALL" things" and believe they can handle "small" things but when "times of loss or fear" comes into their lives, they then run (or increase their faith) to their "Crisis Christ!"
   
   Did Scripture not tell us to "Walk in the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16)?  Do you think that means only in times of "crisis?" 
   
   If "Believers" would come to the understanding that life is a "Spiritual" journey, GOD seeks those who "Believe" to "worship Him in Spirit and in truth" (John 4:23), "daily" (Psalms 34:1), "Study" His Word (II Timothy 2:15; II Timothy 3:16-17), then we would "KNOW" what He said regarding "times of loss" (Philippians 4:7-8;19), and "fear" (Psalms 34:4; Hebrews 13:6)!
   
   PROBLEM:  MOST don't take time to read the Word of God, don't know what's in Scripture but run to Him when there is a "Crisis!"  Don't they know they are missing "daily" benefits (Psalms 103:2) because they don't practice "Walking in the Spirit?  Small things such as "favor" (parking spot near front door, etc) in our lives if we utilize what He's made available only by "studying" His Word, Believing and having "faith" in what He's said!  How easy is that? 
   
   Consequently, when trouble arrives (loss or fear) we'll be prepared and will find "peace which surpasses all understanding" (of men)!
