   What is wrong with searching for proof of God's existence?
   
   Believers are almost scared that we will not find proof of God.  A typical comment from a believer when asked about God is, "God exists beyond this universe. He cannot be seen. God works in mysterious ways."  The Bible talks a lot about faith.  Yet I see believers at the doctor's office all the time.  In fact, many hospitals are religious.  Should scientists stop looking for cures for illnesses?  Should we all just rely on faith alone for cures?  Why are believers so afraid of what scientists might uncover?

   Who says there is something wrong with searching for God's existence? I say search all you want to. I will just be totally surprised if anyone actually finds such proof.
   The biggest problem that I have with "believers" is that they practice "blind faith". It's their pride and joy.
   Personally, I would be ashamed to identify with a cult that can provide no proof of its deity's existence.
   Meanwhile, they just use their religion's "escape clause" to be forgiven for committing heinous crimes against nature and little 4 y.o. girls that they can freely choose (free will ) to rape and beat until they are dead (and many other crimes against humans).

      I do not do that. And Godel's equation is not and never will be proof of a god or gods. Why do you keep insisting that it is?

      Duh, cuz it's called an ontological proof.
      I only state that Gödel's theorem is on an equal footing with all other theorems. Why should it be solely singled out for special negativity by certain person's?

      The only proof of a god or gods would be when one of them shows itself and regrows severed limbs, fixes our ruined climate, cures child cancer instantly, or any other impossible task.

      The axioms are questionable. In basic terms, Godel's theorem can be described as wishful thinking at best. Sorry. Nice try though.

   Once again it is incumbent upon me to bring up the mathematical proof of God's existence as proven by Kurt Gödel. Please don't confuse this with his Incompleteness theorem (save us all some time and do a little homework).
   The naysayers will immediately jump up and down with all kinds of reasons why this is ridiculous, but the truth is Gödel's theorem has been proven correct by  modern supercomputers and has never been faulted by ACTUAL scientists as opposed to uneducated HP cynics.
   The irony is that even some fundamentalist believers get edgy about Gödel's God Theorem!
   Gödel showed us that there is in fact nothing wrong with searching for God's existence. He had Albert Einstein giving him maximum moral support during Einstein's last years. There is certainly no doubt that Einstein discussed and had input into Gödel's ideas and he considered Gödel a kind of successor. Many scientists were trying to beat a path to Einstein's door but he only had time for Kurt Gödel.

      Nice try. Godel's theorem is questionable. One would have to assume his axioms are correct.  They are questionable.  Godel would have to know what God is to come up with accurate axioms.

      As usual specious arguments are put forward poo pooing Godel. All math theorems have the same legitimacy until proven false. If any proofs are provided you choose to ignore them or rationalize.

      Proof is in the pudding, and there isn't any pudding.
      A theorem is just a theory, but a Truth transcends theory with undeniable proof. In this case, only the presence and demonstrations of a God can satisfy that proof. A missing God is not a God

   How would all this stuff help you find Peace? It may please your mind all right, but is that what you seek? Some of these kind of approaches gives or creates very distasteful pages here in just a matter of days!
