..the future can be better you are unlikely to step up and take responsibility for making it happen." Do you think if we focused on being a "now" person and shift our focus from our "what we are going to lose" to "what we will gain" from taking "a b c action" something better will more likely take place more now and later more often than not?

    Yes...and I bet our adventurers like Christopher Colombus would never have set sail if he didn't hope for something better. Pessimism breeds a mediocre yet safe life .Optimism makes you see opportunities and therefore you are offered more

    It seems like your dad knew how to endure...he could stand his ground..I feel for the farmers here..the gas companies wanting coal seam gas are bullying them so far into a corner so that they either give up and sell or commit suicide.
