Share your experience if you believe you've been contacted from a deceased loved one.

I was just writing a hub today on a recent experience. Just got me thinking.

If you believe you have ever might have gotten a 'message from beyond', share here.

I don't know if this counts but there's a lady living next door to me who sells homemade pies made from Real fruit...so I bought an apple pie (my fave) which I put in the fridge (best when cold) and anticipated the next days feast...
That night I heard a faint hallow voice from the kitchen...it said cheaptrick(apparently they have the internet on the other side as well)...eat meeee...Well,I knew it must be the pie cause I'm single...so I said NO!Not till tomorrow when you're cold!...and then...another voice(not one of the ones wandering around inside my head I'm sure...unless it's a new one...which it could be...anyhow)...it said "It's OK;Apple pie tastes good warm too...just put some ice cream on it...and don't forget the milk...so I did(eat it that is).
The next day I noticed the ladies window across from my bedroom was open...and I wondered...was she just trying to sell more pies?...or was that voice from the other side...
Na!...the other side of the fence maybe...there's no such thing as 'the other side'...when we die it's just like before we were born...remember that?

If that pie talking thing actually happened to you, you would probably be just as curious about the experience as those of us are when we have odd experiences. The diff is, you made yours up, while I (right or wrong), actually had the experience.

I used to wonder about this. Until I gave it some hard thought. Why in the heck would a spirit that is not confined to a human body use methods to communicate? If you are like me and do not believe that the spirit soul dies with the body, then why wouldn't they contact us in their way. I am very skeptical of those who claim the spirit of a dead person "spoke" to them. Why would they use that very non sophisticated method of communicating?
So I think we are contacted often. And I do not have a clue how it is done because I am not dead.

Two years ago, when I was at the gym, I met an elderly woman named Lorraine. I met her at the sauna, when it would've been my mother's 71st birthday. It had been seven months since my mother passed away. She consoled me. I told her about my water aerobics class, when she said she and her husband would be interested in meeting me here the next day. I never did see her again. So I'm thinking she must've been an angel from Heaven to this day...

Those are evil spirits disguising themselves as your dead relatives.  Your real dead relatives are either in heaven or in hell, but not here.

I don't believe in heaven or hell, or the whole salvation thing LM. My experience is my relatives spirits are not at all evil, so any source claiming they are is just proving to me it's wrong.

She was not a loved one, but someone I once met. She was the best friend of my friend, and she had passed away before her time. One night, I was about to stay over at my boyfriend's place when I had this strong urge to go home. That night, a presence in my room woke me up, and a voice in my head identified itself as her. She told me that she was okay, and to relay this message to my friend. Before this, I never had any form of communication with anyone who has passed, and am not sure if that was what really happened or just a dream. I base my knowledge and understanding of the nature of communication with spirits from reading articles here on Hubpages. But it seemed significant enough, and several months later I told my friend about this incident and the message that came with it.

Hi! I first thought I had got a message from the passed on because I was about ready to fall asleep and as I was drifting, an image of my grandmother's father was ringing in my eyes. He smiled at me and looked at the stars, laughed and was gone.
