"The Sabbath" is an allegory in Scripture which means "rest" "believe, have faith, and totally rely" on the LORD; EVERYDAY!
Did not Colossians 2:16-17 say "Let no man judge you of an holy day...(v17) Which are are shadow of things to come..."?
I wish ALL would have "obeyed" Acts 1:4 and "waited" for the "Power" (Acts 1:8) of the "Promise" (aka Holy Spirit) in John 14:26 and 16:13; then these things would be "revealed" unto you!
We are to "rest" (aka Sabbath) in the LORD - EVERYDAY - which means "BELIEVING" & having "FAITH" in what HE'S SAID!
The "metaphor" regarding 'the Sabbath' is given in Hebrews Chapter 4:1-11 "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into *His* rest, any of you should come short of. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the Word preached did not profit them, *not* being mixed with *faith* in them that heard it. For we which have *believed* do enter into "rest," as he said, As I have sworn my wrath, if they shall enter into *MY* "rest:" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place *again,* If they shall enter into *My rest*. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered *not* in because of *unbelief*. Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, *TODAY*, after so long a time; as it is said, *TODAY* if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. *There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.* For he that is entered into HIS REST, he also hath CEASED FROM *HIS *OWN* WORKS,* as God did from His. Let us LABOR therefore to ENTER INTO *THAT* REST, lest any man fall after the same example of UNBELIEF."
Did you hear Scripture? Were we not asked to "ENTER INTO HIS REST," ALLOWING *HIM* DO THE *WORK* HAVING "BELIEF" and "FAITH" in what HE SAID? In other words, "We are to TOTALLY "REST" in His Word! TOTALLY "RELY" on HIS WORD! TOTALLY "BELIEVE" in HIS WORD! TOTALLY have "FAITH" in HIS WORD!
THEN we enter into "The Sabbath" - which is EVERYDAY ("TODAY")!
