Which is more important, the Man or the Message?
If Jesus was here right now, do you believe that Jesus would allow himself to be called "merely" a prophet, if it meant that people would accept the message he was sent to deliver? Or do you think Jesus' rank would be more important to him?
It is all one package,
The message makes the man.
While the man carrier the message.
He you disregard one you will also disregard the other.
Both determines the rank he assumes.
Eventually all must stand up under scrutiny or all fall down.
Jesus would not have any ego whatsoever over his rank. He never has and never would allow anything about himself to come between the people and their willingness to hear his message.
Biblically, it showed that Jesus went to where the people were, wore the clothes the people wore, obeyed local laws and customs whereever possible, acted as the people acted; and, did whatever was necessary to get the message over to the people.
The man is the message.
The purpose of a messenger is to convey and spread the message-so the messenger is the media to deliver the message to us. The answer is the message of a messenger should be given more importance.
It should always be the message, never the messenger (i.e.preachers, teachers, etc.)
When Jesus walked the Earth and proclaimed all that He did and has done, did He then boast about His rank as KING of Kings? He came as a lowly servant to show us the Way. He modeled for us, the vary purpose of our being, that is to be in communion with God. All that He did, He did as the son of man being the son of God. We to with God in our lives can do all that Jesus did while He walked the Earth. We all as believer have been given a ministry of reconciliation. The message is of the most importance because it restores us to our proper place with God, upon receiving the one the messages is about, and what Jesus has done for both you and me.

Disregard what others do and say. How does a human love an Ultimate Reality? How do you love God?Jesus clearly states in the Gospel of John, chapters 14 and 15, how to Love God, how to be His friend. But how do you love God?

Is it more important to study the Bible or to live a Christlike life?I am asking this because I see a huge amount of debate about doctrine, evolution, stem cells, premarital sex and so on, out there in US society, yet I feel convinced that, if Jesus lived today, he would not be engaging in these...

Why is the Book Laviticus more important than what Jesus The Christ says?I have seen many people use the scripture from Laviticus and telling us all that those laws in it are supposed to be for us today. I understand some of how those laws came about and things are very different today. ...

I know, you want to answer both. But for the sake of sharing thoughts, we may want to take our stand and justify it. It's something for us to reflect on the importance of both as well, by knowing their importance.
