Yes. To say you are a capitalist-Christian is an oxymoron; these two systems are diametrically opposed to one another. Capitalism by definition creates a loser and is the harbinger of slavery. The example I would give is Chinese factories that make Nike shoes. The workers are paid something like sixteen cents an hour. Those shoes will sell in America for between eighty to a hundred plus dollars. In addition Mexican immigrants are like wise exploited as were there predecessors the black slaves of America. Indias poor population is similarly exploited. It goes under the polite title of "globalism" but make no mistake for a capitalist society it is the new slavery. If Yeshua and members of "The Way" were to be part of any system it would've been "communism." Not the communism fostered in the 20th and 21st Centuries which really are founded on militarism. True communism is a matter of the heart. The members of "The Way" which the early church was called; they gave freely to the members of their congregations as each one had need. Calling nothing their own. Of course this system requires that your heart is transformed that you may be a giving person as opposed to someone who hordes wealth. You will not hear a Christian passionately make a stand against these things because by and large they mistakenly believe that the United States is a Christian nation ergo capitalism is good.
