Depends on what kind of life I suppose? Life has many definitions. A cell is life - but it has no "self". Even the great apes - our closest ancestors in terms of evolution theory, are separated from the homo sapiens by some 10 million years. When the Bible speaks of humans (and all the focus in the bible is on humans of course - that's where religion is about), we talk about maybe some 15000 or maxim. some 25000 years of human culture. So from this perspective, evolution theory does not have any impact on religion at all. In pretty much the same way does "life" on another planet not have the slightest implication on (Christian) religion / faith. And let us not talk about real intelligent beings out there, because we have no clue. That's just a fantasy of the modern world so far.
