Just wondering if anyone out there is interested in Aleister Crowley.

There is a Youtube video that depicts him speaking:
    The Stele of Revealing:

Has anyone seen this and can you comment?

Haven't seen the video, but I do know who is was. He is responsible for the modern witchcraft movement. I studied witchcraft for a while. I still have all the spell working stuff in a trunk, except for the books which I sold. I am a Christian, but I am like no Christian you ever met. Mr. Crowley was onto something, but I doubt he understood what he had discovered. Witchcraft has nothing to do with Satan. It has nothing to do with any natural energy source or cosmic force. Witchcraft is directly connected to our human abilities as God gave us when we were created. After all, we are the sons of God. We have the ability to create or destroy.

"Do spells work?" many may ask.
    "It depends," I respond.
I have plenty of experience with spells that worked. I used to be connected with some witch covens. I have heard plenty of stories of spells that worked, and of ones that went horribly wrong. The best spells are the ones that are used to cure people from illness. Not surprising, that is something which God approves. I don't recommend anyone practicing witchcraft. We take away from God when we do, as if we are capable of working miracles (which we are so long as we do it for the glory of God, our creator.) What we humans are best at is getting our selfishness and ego mixed up with what we really ought to be doing. Plus we have no way to know what the future effects of a spell may be. Should we really be manipulating other people and events when we can't know all the possible side effects? I don't think so.

He was definitely a very interesting and influential man. Worthy of study for the person interested in paranormal, religious, or metaphysical subjects.
