Evolution and Creation are two divergent thoughts why do some try to discredit the Bible?
Over 3500 years ago the Bible says that the hare is a chewer of the cud.
Less than 200 years ago the terms ruminant and refection were invented by man. With these recent re-classifications the hare is not considered to be a chewer of the cud. In many other instances some have tried to discredit the Bible.
Because the writers story lines mirror in similar ways before copyrights laws was ever known. People don't realize some writers of the Gospel wrote their years apart and could have added on to the stories.
Your statement and question are a bit non sequitur. And your statement is not necessarily true.
Evolution and creation are not necessarily divergent thoughts. If God created the universe, he created all of its laws, including gravity, nuclear binding forces, electro-magnetism, quanta, neutrinos, mu mesons, hyper baryons, and the list goes on and on. And this would include the mechanics of life and evolution. From this perspective, creation and evolution are in perfect alignment.
The usual problem stems from faulty interpretation (typically of the Bible, but sometimes [rarely] science).
Skeptics try to discredit the Bible simply because they don't know better. They're too lazy to dig deeper, use imagination (as Einstein advised they do), and find answers that might make sense to a secularist and a spiritual person. And yet, many Christians are lazy, too. There are many answers in the Bible which many Christians never find, because they never take the time or humility to ask.
Blind belief such as this tends to invite ridicule. And there is a big difference between faith and blind belief.

The bible says not to lie. Why aren't they following the bible? Why do they feel the need to defend God? Or is it really defending their very narrow worldview?

Or Crouching Dragon and Hidden Dinosaur: In the Bible the word Tanniyn occurs 28 times in the Bible and is normally translated “dragon.” It is also translated “serpent,” “sea monster,” “great creature,” and “reptile. Ideas of creation science, is not taking a stand on the age of the Earth....

Did you know that accepting evolution doesn't make one an atheist?I keep seeing conservative evangelical Christians trying to prove Yahweh is real beyond a shadow of a doubt using the fact that they don't believe evolution occurred or occurs. Why do they bother? Most of the people in the world who...

Is the Darwin's theory of evolution really against what is in the Bible? Is there room for interpretation regarding Adam and Eve and the creation of the world or is it very literal to you?
