   That would depend on the gift that you have and if you know which ones that you do have.  First ask for guidance before you go to sleep and remember your dreams.  Guides sometimes talk and teadh you while you dream.  Listen to your instincts and I mean really listen to them.  Don't shove them off.  Keep asking for guidance and it will come to you.  Ask, Seek, Believe and it will be given to you.  Never be afraid to ask questions of anything or anyone - spiritual or otherwise.,  Animals can help too. They are more than just our companions

   When I was a young[er] man some of us wore t-shirts or jewelry with the letters "PBPGIFWMY" meaning Please Be Patient God Isn't Finished With Me Yet.
   
   Saul of Tarsus - the apostle Paul - was spiritually gifted from the beginning. He had been a Pharisee, one of the leaders of the Jews. Jesus threw him off a horse, blinded him, had him baptized, and sent him off into the wilderness to be schooled. He had to learn as he went.
   
   He is one of the greatest Christian scholars of all time. Be patient, listen - really listen - to what God is telling you. Call out to the Holy Spirit to indwell you with knowledge.
   
   Nobody jumps on a bicycle and just rides off the very first time. They literally learn "as [they] go"

   Life is about learning as we go.... Don't worry about your gift, if it's really a gift it probably won't come with a manual, so don't worry about reading the index, and simply enjoy the gift.

   Read your bible. Study, study, study like you've never studied before.
   
   The answers are in there. 
   
   When I first got saved God was operating spiritually in my life according to the things that are written in the bible.  I discovered every one of them after receiving the Holy Spirit.
   
   Each one of these things were confirmation after confirmation after confirmation...of how God operates in the lives of believers and in the world.
   
   Study the bible with militaristic discipline. Ask every question you can think of concerning the things written here.  God will mightily bless you.
