   Hi Shil1978,I pray every day when I tuck my children in bed at night,after having read a bedtime story to them.But I think what is really important is having a positive mindset and good ethical values in yourself and then good things will come to you rather than having to pray for them to come true:)

   I never really think about it anymore, but I do send up several prayers every day that passes. A lot of things in the world bother me these days, and many times, God is the only one that seems to listen to my requests.

   prayer is very important it is the way you communicate with god you cant have a relshonship with someone you dont talk to i do pray all the time everyday every second iam always taking to my father

   Yes, prays are very important. Its a link between us and GOD. And believe me when someone prays deep from inside the heart, GOD listen and reply. Either you get what you are praying for OR some bad thing remove from you. Its your strong believe on GOD.
   
   So keep praying to GOD and make yourself a good friend of GOD.

   For me praying is not taking responsibility. There is only one thing we're sure of in this life and that is that we're all going to die. So instead of praying to god or to something else ask your death for advice and your death will tell you that it hasn't touched you yet. If you do want to pray, pray for your death, invite it to your life. Let it shine through your actions. If you act with death as your adviser and act as if it was your last battle on earth you'll get your answers.

   We muslims pray 5 times a day!
   and the reason is The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told to his companions and he mentioned about this if one of you between your house and between the place of work that was a stream, and if you passed through this stream five times a day then would any dirt left on you? They said no Prophet of Allah we would surely be cleaned. The prayer is like this, this is how prayer expatiates for the sins.

    Prayer is a form of meditation; helps align myself with my spiritual beliefs.  Highly important to me, it is a need that is right up there with breathing.
