When it comes to stewardship, just what is it, and what makes a good steward?

Is it limited to the care and concern for the Earth alone, or does it take in more than that? Just what are we to be stewards of, and are all of us to consider ourselves as stewards? In what ways can we look at stewardship with new understanding and become better in our obedience to God? I'm creating a new workshop and would like to hear from those of you who are actively practicing, teaching, and or observing this in the kingdom field.
