I am A Christian, a Jehovah's Witness and I stay busy preaching and teaching the good news of God's Heavenly Kingdom to people and helping honest hearted ones to come to accurate knowledge as to what the Bible really teach.  As Jesus Christ said @ John 17: 3, This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

Before becoming a Christian, I was a professional soldier that saw action  during 'Grenada', 'Just Cause', Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and Somalia. Traveled the World  with Eygpt being my favorite country in Africa, walked the Khufu Pyramids once and the Khafra or Khafre Pyramid 3 times. Box as a professional in Philly, Pa and last fight was on Joe Fraizer's card in 1979. Play guitar, sing, write and photgrapher for the last 40 years.

My life is now teaching people what the Bible Really Teach and the marvelous good news of God's Kingdom and what that Kingdom government will soon do to the earth to relieve the suffering of righteous loving people everywhere

I constantly find ways to do one of the following:
    - Create another stream of income (usually another website)
    - Grow spiritually

I don't count free time as family time since 80% of my day is family time!

Are you kidding?  Who has free time these days smile

I make time for things I want to do, I do things I need to accomplish in the order of priority.  And that is an ever-perfecting process...

When you have free time it can be easy to just flop in front of a television and allow it to mindlessly entertain you. While that's okay for short periods of time, it doesn't feed your soul. I think that's what free time should be for--spending time on things that will make you a better person mentally, physically, spiritually. You have to figure out what that would be for you...go for a walk, read a good book, spend time with a good friend, meditate, etc.

The best wise thing I do in free time is learn something new. Whatever it might be. Or equaly important, spend it with friends and family or other people you love and care about. Time is always short and whole life just races by. Learning, loving and sometimes teaching are ultimately the only things worth doing in my opinion.

You do not know me , nor do you have any perceptions of my time constraints..............
My "free time" is  given to childhood girlish memories, it is for a wife to dream of the tomorrows we ( my husband and I) might spend together,  in my free time, I dare to discuss intimate things first with my lady friends and then with my daughters, who lead me into tomorrow.

In my freetime........I simply AM, as I  am.  Won't you join me here?

"Freetime"..........need not suffer the burden of 'productivity'.  It is free to just............simply be...........even if some call it wasted.

There are no rules, no laws, that     govern " free time"............it is mine, to spend as the moment longs for.
    The moments pass quickly............

"wisely" would be by the definition of another.....invalidate, " FREE".

My time IS my time, who is another to call it  unproductive, unwise or wasted?

There are some things that are about the "now", rather than the tomorrow.

Much of the time I use my spare time writing on HubPages or elsewhere.  Sometimes I write something I think will be helpful or enjoyable to someone else.  This spare-time activity also brings in a little extra income.    I also use spare time enjoying time with family or friends (particularly important if you have kids, and still important even when your kids are grown).  I use some spare time to read non-fiction (and learn something), or else to get something done that I otherwise wouldn't have time to do (and if I'm doing something around the house I'll usually put on talk radio at the same time so I can hear a little talk about what's going on in the world or in my area).  Sometimes I'll catch up on a little sleep.  I usually try to spend a little time just thinking about what I want/need to do, or just thinking about life in general.  There's one day a week when I get a scented candle going, make a big pot of coffee, and just kind of enjoy the morning (and the sun coming in the kitchen window) for a couple of hours before doing much of anything else.  Every so often I'll just take a break from "wisely" and just decide to "be a vegetable" and see what entertainment/discussions there may be on the HubPages forums.  I think of it as "planned time-wasting", but even "planned time-wasting" in limited doses can serve a purpose in life when all the rest of a person's time is used for multi-tasking or else serves multiple purposes.

None of this stuff may seem all that "wise" to a lot of people, but it's all stuff that's important to me.  People who don't have kids, a spouse or relationship, a house, or the need/wish to work may have more spare time to use doing something "wise" like using a lot of their spare time to help others in some way, or be active in one cause or another; but people with families, houses, work, etc. often need to use what little spare time they have to focus on less altruistic spare-time activities.

if your point is resourcing ,you may meddle up with anything that come your way endlessly or without any discrete plan.
if you resolve to free your mind instead , you stand a better chance to win your cause.

    Free time?  What is that?
Actually, I am one of those people who needs to constantly be busy, the closest thing to free time for me, is when I am crocheting or reading...usually with a purpose for those as well.

I learn something new. I recently learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript and php plus operating a drupal, joomla and wordpress site (Yes I have a lot of free time). But if that's not enough, I write about what I just learned. Seems boring but hey, I gain something from both (money from the latter).
