A common rebuttal for Christianity is the claim that there is little to no solid evidence that an historical Jesus ever existed. If you are knowledgeable in the field of historical evidence and can offer references, I am curious about the hisorical proof for other key historical figures. How do Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Genghis Khan compare in terms of solid historical evidence? More? or less than Jesus? My point is that if the evidence for those historical figures and what they did is no better than what we have about Jesus, should we dismiss them from history also?

three of the four accounts we have were either written or told by men (and women as Mary the mother of Jesus told Luke about his birth) who later lost their lives for their faith! If they knew it wasn't true why would they die for it
