The truth about the great alien hoax.
Are aliens real?
The Canadian defense minister admits aliens are real! - Quite a statement!
Watch for the bit towards the end where he admits there is an international cabal that has been keeping the truth about alien visitors to Earth a secret from the world's population.
What movie makers think aliens look like
The celluloid version of aliens is almost overwhelmingly negative, so it's no wonder ET: The Extra Terrestrial was a hit. It's always nice to have a change.
My favourite film. It's A Wonderful Life? Forgetaboudit! This film broke new ground in both sci-fi and horror and brought a whole new meaning to the word terror.
A triple dose of horror!
This film is kind of a prequel to Alien, and shows just how quickly things can go horribly wrong when you're on an unfamiliar planet and there's a synthetic human in your crew.
This is a BIG movie in more ways than one.
Not all aliens are bad news for the human race.
Theories, theories and more theories
If aliens are visiting Earth, they must have a reason and I don't think it's because they're on vacation. I think they're studying us, and I'd like to believe that their presence here is benign. Maybe they're working to keep us from destroying our planet and our race (if they are, they might want to try a bit harder with that).
UFO research suggests that sightings of UFOs increase at times of high international tension, such as the Second World War and the Cold War, but this may be the result of xenophobic paranoia. Who knows?
And then there's the good Doctor. - Who?
Do not leave home without it.
Check out his previous incarnations.
Do you think we are alone in the universe?
Do you think aliens exist?
I know I do!
How many nerds/ufologists had this on a wall somewhere, I wonder. Just looking at this image makes me wonder where they came from, what they look like and what they want. Are they scientists? Are they anthropologists? Are they tourists? Are they hungry?
Here is a reprint of the iconic poster that hung in Fox Mulder's basement office for the duration of The X Files.
And somehow it speaks to all of us. We want to believe. Everyone except Dana Scully, that is. She pretty much maintained her sceptism for the entire life of the series, no matter what supernatural/inexplicable/just plain bonkers was going on around her.
