Virgo and Aquarius - Winning Innocence
Two Human Signs
How To Get Along – Virgo and Aquarius
The Virgin and the Water Bearer
This series on AstroCompatibility will cover all of the potential matchups in the Zodiac. We will continue this series thinking about and commenting on The Virgin and The Water Bearer. You can get an EBOOK with all 12 matchups for each sun sign, including Virgo or Aquarius at the website by Christofer: http://www.astrologygetalong.com.
Aquarius is Air and Fixed. Virgo is Earth and Mutable. There is an “opposite but the same” quality to these two. The freedom of air is bound in by fixity; the stability of earth is loosened by mutability. This conundrum will affect the nature of this getting together. It portends that things could be more copasetic than one might imagine. Aquarius is not easily understood. Since Aquarians are proud of their humanity and concern for the all, they tend to be quite proud of who they are. And who is to say they shouldn’t be? Virgo however brings a constant state of critiquing the world, and especially their mates. This would appear to be the most immediately outstanding characteristic that would cause issues. Since Aquarians can be ingenious; but also eccentric, they will provide Virgo with a constant display of what to the Virgo could be amended, fixed, corrected and improved. Aquarius won’t get extra touchy about this. They can actually be quite humble in admitting mistakes. But don’t think they will take notes on Virgo’s ideas for improvement. Aquarius will go right on being itself.
Virgo can be very helpful though, to the somewhat spacey and impractical Aquarius, bills need to be paid, groceries need to be bought. The Water Bearer could find much to be valued and appreciated in the Virgo. The well known Aquarian ambiguous global statements and preoccupation with time and the next dimension are always going to leave Virgo in a state of wonder. Perhaps that is not so bad, as Virgo has much to learn about balance and mediation and harmony and tolerance. Perhaps Aquarius would help Virgo lose their preoccupation and mental fixation on their own inner troubles and digestive disorders. A big mindedness, on a daily basis, might be the cure for Virgo’s maladies. Initially, if these two were attracted to one another, they might find each other intriguing: The Aquarian with the outer Virgo sweetness and innocence. The Virgo with the stylish and grand Aquarius. Then after awhile, they would get to know each other. That test would be the one that would dictate the length and stability of the relationship. In terms of having much to provide to the other, one can see a marvelous coming together of need for each other’s virtues.
Positive Postulate: The Aquarian mind declares itself everyday to be quite unique. This can make them fascinating. Virgo’s virginal approach would make the Water Bearer more “normal”. Others would say, “Wow what a catch!” Virgo mindfulness of check book balances, names and the details of life, could enhance the Aquarian spacey quality. This could make an interesting couple, association, mate, love. In the most positive way of seeing this coupling, they would both provide to each other that which they could probably never have on their own.
Romance Recommendation: Virgo gentleness and open-eyed appreciation for the basics of love would make them a marvelous and interesting Aquarian mate. Aquarius can have a coolness in love and so the Virgo might need to lead with their marvelous heart. Mutual surrender might be the prescription.
Conflict Quotient: Conflict for this match would probably circle around the Virgin’s critique of Aquarius. The Water Bearer could end up complaining about the Virgin complaining. This could lead to loud squabbles. Both would be coming from inner sincerity, but both would feel justified. This is what makes most human conflict. The point here is to begin to abandon the self’s agenda. This can lead to individual transformation, which is one of the wonderful blessings of being down here trying to get along. The adaptation, sometimes a one-sided affair, would be on both sides here.
Peace Parlay: Life in the end is repetitive and mundane, and so is Romance itself. This factor asks the question: "Can we be bored together over the long term?" Aquarius and its fantastic mind will never be bored, or boring. Virgo’s life is full of new recommendations, so they would not be accused of being boring. The key would be not to be “unbored” apart from each other.
Keep Up The Interest Graph: Virgo might smile as it follows the Aquarian self expression all over the place. A lack of interest, new ideas, and what might be the vanguard idea of the next century will ensure that new interest will not be the problem.
Seven Year Itchiness: There are some signs that by their nature are more stable in their love interests and family concerns as time goes on. Others are not. Virgo’s innate conservatism would make it the partner least likely to succumb to the 7 year itch. Aquarius, always a law unto itself, could find a way to stray, but not unless it was searching, or met some kind of superhuman idealization. Infidelity of this kind of nature would probably be a good test of the quality of how they are progressing at having meetings of the mind.
RATING: ASTROCOMPATIBILITY POSSIBILITY RATING: 65% Positive Long Term - 70% Short Term. Aquarius’s ray gun focus might sweep Virgo away in the beginning. Neither of them would quickly propose, after getting to know each other just a bit. Time and internal self-transformation would move them toward a long relationship. Virgo, if it grows and transforms itself will relax and find balance by not becoming over involved in its own critical mindset. Aquarius could stand to surrender a bit of its own uniqueness for the sake of a loving and transforming relationship. The high-minded aspect that I am describing could make this a wonderful transforming experience.
