Auto suggestion: The Basis of Thinking Big

Updated on May 4, 2011

You can be whatever you want to be! You can have whatever you want to have! And you can do whatever you want to do!

How many times have you heard those statements? And how many times have you considered them to be such a lame talk?

You know your own answer but what I want to tell you today is that it doesn’t matter whether you believe in those statements or not, it doesn’t matter also if you consider them to be lame talk or not. The truth is that you can be whatever you want to be! You can have whatever you want to have! And you can do whatever you want to do!

That is if you know what to do…

Welcome to the world of auto suggestion!

Auto suggestion is the ability of someone to ‘trick’ his/her mind into going into or taking that extra mile that will surely guarantee success in the end. It is that one very important mind trick that will surely gallivant, catapult as well as skyrocket one’s performance to the extent that you only hear these words continue to echo in your head: “I didn’t know I could do that so well. I didn’t believe myself. I really surprised myself!”

Have you ever found yourself using any of those true words especially in situations where you really out-performed what you hitherto thought was your maximum best? I tell you it is actually autosuggestion at work. People are known to be able to program their minds into achieving greater things in life simple by channeling all their mind power resources towards that which can only bring their fantasies to realities.

The mind is such a powerful tool. Many battles are won (and lost too) in the mind. Your mind is that special part of you…your sub consciousness which is responsible for whatever you might want to become in life depending on how much external influence we allow our conscious awareness to have on the subconscious which is the mind. It is the mind that is always providing that needed catalyst that surely guarantees that untold success (and/or failure) in the end.

So what do you need to start thinking big today now you know this?

Simple. You have to start practicing autosuggestion. That is to say, you just have to start thinking big right now! Whatever you set your mind to achieve, you will surely achieve. Whatever you think you cannot do, watch it, there you go again, here comes that failure…again!

The Law of Attraction makes us to understand that one will always attract to him/herself that which s/he is always thinking about and feeling the most. Therefore by the practicing autosuggestion, you can easily program your mind to become obsessed only with those very thoughts which are always on your mind and also make those things manifest in your life.

If you now avail yourself the opportunity to think big all the time, that big you will surely become!
