Two Christian Brothers were seeking the Truth in our Church
In May 1987 Brother Lennox Bedneau and Brother Joseph Wright wanted to seek God's guidance. They stayed in our chapel building on Thomas Road, Houston and fasted and prayed for nine days. I accompanied them during which time we studied the Word of God. At the end of nine days both of them decided what we believe is the truth, so they decided to receive Baptism into the Lord Jesus Christ.
On Sunday May 17, 1987 our Church members went to the Buffalo Bayou on Memorial Drive near the Eldridge intersection in Houston. Brother Bedneau's family and Sister Ruby Leung's family (with Howard and Leo) were baptized on that same day, together with Brother Joseph who brought along his ten year old son J.J. who did not baptize on that day.

Angels came down to watch Brother Joseph's Baptism
As Brother Joseph was getting ready to be baptized he saw the whole bayou became red with blood. He was completely immersed in the "blood and water" of the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn. 19:34-35; 1 Jn. 5:6-8). After the baptism his son J.J. told him that he saw ten angels came down from heaven and stood on the banks of the Bayou to watch the baptism. The angels were smiling and rejoicing. J.J. described the angels' faces had the color of peaches.
Lennox Bedneau's shirt and trousers were stained with blood
The next person to receive baptism was Lennox Bedneau. After his baptism as he stepped on the banks of the Bayou his wife Josette asked him this question, "Lennox, are you hurt?" Lennox was perplexed why Josette would ask such a question. Josette then explained, "Your whole shirt and trousers are stained with blood." Lennox looked down at his shirt and trousers. Sure enough, they were stained with blood. Throughout the trip from the Bayou to the Chapel they could still see the blood. After they reached the Chapel on Thomas Road the vision of the blood disappeared. It was a glorious day for our Church in Houston.
Little J.J. witnessed to his mother about his vision of the Ten Angels
Joseph Wright requested our Church to pray for his family which had been attending the largest Church in Houston. His wife Margaret was very much against his baptism. They had been quarrelling over it before Joseph came to the Bayou. When Joseph and J.J. went home, his wife refused to talk with him. J.J. then witnessed to his mother what he saw when his father was baptized. J.J.'s testimony of the ten angels helped to change his mother's mind. Margaret decided to be baptized with the rest of the family the following week.

A Shark was heading towards the Baptismal Site
The following Sunday on May 24, 1987 the Church members went to Galveston for the baptism. In addition to Joseph's family there were also two young students who were baptized. Here is what happened. After Margaret was baptized I heard someone (Samuel Chang) shouting "Look out, shark." Lalia her 15 year old daughter appeared scared when she waded through the waters. When Joseph accompanied J.J. the ten year old boy yelled out, "I don't want to be baptized" because he apparently saw the shark. We calmed him down and then baptized him.
Lalia saw the Shark bounced off the Circle of Blood
The Lord Jesus Christ protects His People with His Precious Blood
After the baptism the Church members returned to the Thomas Road Chapel for Washing of Feet and Holy Communon. During the Church service Lalia gave this testimony. She said that as she was going towards the place of baptism she actually saw the shark with its fin moving above the water level swimming towards her. She was really scared at that time but her fears were allayed when she saw a circular ring of blood formed on the surface of the water surrounding herself and the baptist. The circular ring of blood expanded itself and became larger. When the shark came to the edge of the ring of blood it bounced off and swam away.
After Lalia gave her testimony I asked the congregation whether or not anyone else had seen the shark. Several church members raised their hands. The shark was real and so was the blood, and we know that sharks are attracted by the blood.
When we receive Baptism into the Lord Jesus Christ we are baptized not only with water but also with the Blood of Jesus Christ
"But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe." (John 19:34-35)
"This is He who came by water and blood - Jesus Christ, not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." (1 Jn. 4:6)
