Seeking God's Grace

Updated on September 19, 2014

Seeking God's Grace through Understanding His Word

Seeking God's Grace, where God's Holy Word is a sanctuary and our lives take on new meaning and direction.

What a joy to be able to believe and pray for God's guidance and direction, and pray that He will keep us in safe harbor as we seek His Divine guidance and true understanding of His Holy Word.

He is Risen! - Praise the Lord ~ Alleluia!

Resurrection Morning ~ Easter Sunday ~ Sunrise. What glorious wonders God has given to us!

I Tell you the Truth

"I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit."

John 3:5 (NIV)

Heaven's Light ~ The Moon ~ - Reflecting the Sun!

Aren't we called...

...to reflect the love God gave us through His Son?!

The Wind Blows

We can't see it, but we know it's there ~ a lot like God's love and direction!

Blessings to you!

Be Born of the Spirit!

"Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

John 3:6 (NIV)

Rejoice... - ...God is with all things...

New Birth, New Life ~

Reflections

How peaceful to take a few minutes and reflect!

John 20:30, 31

Jesus did many miraculous signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in His name.

John 21:25

Jesus did many other things, as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Jesus did many miraculous signs... - ...that you may believe...

These two verses from John, the last two verses in the Gospel books of the Bible, make a powerful impact!

If you took all the acts IN A DAY that God did for everyone, volumes could fill the world every day, without a doubt! Each of us could write a chapter a day ~ and we would never get tired of reading how He impacts lives! Knowing God's love is with us is the greatest comfort there is. Who hasn't been cared for and carried through rough times?! Write your story down ~ every Christian has a story of how they have come to know of God's love or how He has seen them through to a better place on their life. What's yours?

There's just something that makes us want to Praise His Holy name and worship Him. There's something about that name Jesus!

God, we bow down and worship your Holy name! Thank you for being there, listening, guiding, directing me and my thoughts and my ways. You are so good to us! Thank you for your love and compassion, your love and wisdom. Thank you for your forgiveness and the mercy you bestow upon us. You are our provider and guider, our Heavenly Father and caretaker of our minds and hearts. I pray I would faithfully follow the path you would have me walk and that I honor you in all I do.

Lead me to get me going when I stall, gently lead me if I take the wrong path. Open my eyes to see what lies ahead, all the wonders of your love, and your creations, and creatures here, down below. Help me be a voice for them if it should so honor you ~ make every word out of my mouth be one that you directed, every day, every way, your way, God. Amen!

From my Spiritual Journey

I encourage you to write every day along your Spiritual Journey! This time will become more precious to you and life will hold much deeper meaning. My "Songs of Spiritual Journey" is one of singing and writing about the wonders of our Lord Jesus Christ. Keep it Christ! May God bless you on your Spiritual Journey many times over!

What Calls us to Judge Others?

What calls us to judge or compare ourselves to others? Take a minute and be awed by how much God cared that we should have individual talents and achievements.

God doesn't ask that the tallest, biggest, and best step forward. He only asks that you be willing to carry out His will. And they are as varied as there are individuals. There are many triumphs when we carry the word of God with us and put Him above everything else, many victories that advance His Kingdom, a smile, kind word or deed, someone listening. We are all children of God who are free to make choices, no need at all to judge or be judged!

There It Was, In Red and White... - ...Do Not Resist Evil!

Do not resist evil, In fact, if you are struck, turn the other cheek ~ which means you could be hurt, right?! The Scripture goes on to say that if someone sues you for your shirt, give them your coat ~ just accept injustice?!

Scripture tells us the wise man builds his home upon the rock. I try to walk the walk, but I don't see myself sticking around for a second punch, let alone turning my other cheek!

To turn the other cheek, is to put EVERYTHING on the line. We are willing to be left broken. God is asking us to give up the fight and be submissive to Him. Give up the fight. Start living the life. And start building your house upon the rock. Amen?! Amen!!

My Daily Devotional ... - ...To read and Understand...

...God's Holy Word. This Bible is compiled in chronological order, with 365 daily readings. I read it twice in one year ~ it was more than a blessing! Since the events are in chronological order, it is easy to read and comprehend. I am taking it slowly this time, studying and reaching further into God's Word, journalizing my thoughts and prayerful insights.

My interpretation and having heard a sermon on it, I believe God is talking about taking an insult and not seeking revenge, as one should be stronger then that.
