Spiritual Wisdom

***

Material enjoyment is like a dream. In flash it is gone. Through spiritual realization, we achieve a wakeful state where we see material pleasure as they are – fleeting and very limited.

***

There is one Absolute Truth, but the degrees of realization are varied.

***

Anyone who pursues spirituality and succeeds is a great hero. His fame does not have to be etched on metal or stone but in the hearts of those who will follow his example

***

One feels spiritual life blossom when there is a certain amount of detachment to sense desires and attachment to God develops. The fever of materialistic lust subsides and burning love for God manifests.

***

As spiritual beings, we have the same essence as God – spirit, not matter. There is similarity

In quality, but in quantity or greatness of characteristics the difference is infinite. God is the Supreme Being; we are His servants.

***

Evil is the absence of love for God.

***

A person forgets his spiritual identity due to material desires.

***

We must first love God before we can truly say that we love others

***

The development of submissiveness and sincerity is the cause of proportionate spiritual realization by which one can ultimately meet the supreme Lord in person as a man meets another man face to face.

***

If we can direct our time, effort and devotion to God instead of directing them to ourselves and other imperfect living beings, spiritual enlightenment is certain.

***

If we love God, then automatically that love will spread to all living entity. To the people, plants, animals, nature and to mother earth.

***

From one who has experienced a glimmer of love for God: “The bliss is that which we long for; its absence is that which we call hell….. God smiled so sweetly. I saw, felt and held that smile for an instant. I have been longing for it ever since.”

***

The search for peace is not a quest for a place, but a condition where one’s troubled heart and mind find rest in God’s hands. By chanting the Holy Names of God, one experiences refuge in God.
