For me God helps me keep my faith. Although I cannot see him, I have felt his prescence, hear the still small voice guiding me, the Bible He has given me as a source of strength and hope, the fact that I have seen praying to God change lives.
Looking outside at nature and how everything, birds, bees, animals, grass, weeds, leaves of trees, rain, cluds, sky, wind, thunder, humans and everything else. I marvel at how consistantand cyclic everything is. Everything is going to be OK because everythig serves a purpose in every way, shape and form.
The fact that nobody can disprove what I believe-regardless of how hard they try.
My faith comes from knowing the truth that God loves me unconditionally. This also give me joy. He has always been with me and is now with me and will be with me for ever and ever.
He has answered all my prayers in advance, even though I don't know what I am going to pray tomorrow or in the future.
Keeping your faith is a day to day challenge, brought on by the person's ability to balance a list of variables.
What are your fears?
What you need vs. what you want?
Do you really believe in what your following?
What is your self-esteem like?
Do you have friends, family, neighbors, that support you?
These questions are what your answer to your question rely on.
However, I would answer your question of what helps me keep my faith, with this simple word. "Friendship".
My friends have been there for me through every step of the way. Through every hard challenge in my life, sometime or another, I've relied on them for support, love, help, protection, advice, direction, ideas, etc.
A person is alone, and has no one to believe in him, if he/she doesn't have a friend 2 keep his/her 'FAITH' strong.
Ethel Smith, I hope that helps you answer your question.

Greetings , may the tears that role down your face, may the joy that sometimes seems so far away , the laughter that turns to sorrow and sorrow that turns to joy.May the Lord of all comfort comfort you. That is what helps me keep the faith . I have felt his mercy and love, his sorrow and joy . I have seen his love and felt his presence. . Faith is built by what you go through , faith is built by love, faith is built by his mercy. May all your dreams come true for as you bless others the Lord of Glory will bless you . your new found friend Sharon e Dix
Because the world is ment for good things and god said to be multiply and be fruitfull and its all for us to enjoy and thank for him, but we never thank him but enjoy and hurts his resource..
I could write a whole book on this subject. It is a daily choice. When I get off track, I read the bible, or a Christian book on this very subject. Somehow God always answers my doubts - always! strange. He knows when I am struggling and just knows how to address my doubts.
I also look at my Christian faith and realize as nothing else makes sense and I have to remember that. There are always worse things, even on your worst day, that are happening. It is all about perspective.
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love, But the greatest of these is love". I Cor. 13:13
My faith is shaken quite often but I will read something that inspire me, hug one of my grandchildren, find things to appreciate or be grateful for and in doing so I find that hope and love rise to the surface and balance me.
the fact that there's still night and day....and the love and support of my family keeps my faith alive..it makes me believe that is always there no matter what..
first of all, faith emerges from my innermost senses.. we pray to god to get our uncountable wishes fulfilled.. but all our wishes do not get fulfilled.. its true that every moment god is with us, but its this life only in which we are also penalized for the sins we have committed in the past.. so our faith from from almighty should not get shakened up when we get reminded of our unfulfilled wishes.. its just that, when we face lot of difficulties, god is making us more strong in our tough times.. even in my toughest times neither i curse my fate nor i complain god, instead i start chanting god'z name endlessly.. it makes me feel that god is near me.. i visit church and other regional places.. believe me i feel one step closer to god and feel like as if he is saying '' dont lose hope, im forever with you''..
Steadfast and focus. Even if at times are bad, I am always thinking it will soon get better.
God's Word, the story of his dying for me being raised from the dead(!), and His Spirit that helps me understand this amazing truth and gift.
As the Beatles put it "All you need is Love!!". Family & Friend's. Life's situations where there is Hope.
Daily study of the Bible. I try to not just read, even if that is very important, but also to dig deeper. I want so be tought from God Himself what his advices are for me. Learn about people, events and why things went wrong and why they had progress.
I do this because God has not changed. When we try to His will, He can and will bless us. Sometimes the blessings are understanding of the mentioned events. Often I get a personal answer on a personal question.
I love my Creator and have a really strong faith in His promises for the future. He once created men in a paradise, and that is wath he will finish. We will live on an earth full of perfect happy people one day! And I want to be one of them. This hope is like an anchor in my life and I can keep a really strong faith through knowledge and a personal relationship with my God.

It's easy to deconvert to atheism because they are disappointed, hurt or because they have lost their faith due to God making sense. It's harder to suddenly make a rational atheists convert to Christianity, which is faith-based. How does it happen?

A few weeks ago I asked what I thought was quite a serious, searching question about the existence of God, and was rather disappointed when it got a very limited response. (This could have been because we were all wrestling this other equally important issues at the time.)Peter Lopez made a valiant...
