Better health, mentally and physically. Better immunity systems, restful sleep and peace of mind. Better looking fingernails, less wrinkles and more confidence. These are the ones that came to mind!
Positive Thinking has the ability to change your whole life. When you think positive and not negative good things come to pass. When bad things happen, you have the ability to get passed them. When you make mistakes, you are able to forgive yourself. You are more likely to succeed when you are a positive person.
I think it can give many benefits. Firstly when you are in a positive frame of mind you do have more courage and confidence. I think there are other benefits as well - such as better physical health, improvement in medical and mental issues already suffered from. But in general I think life just seems that bit better and problems are not only overcome more easily, but fewer problems seem to arise.
Positive thinking has healed terminal diseases. A book written by a woman who healed herself of cancer, just by changing the way she thinks and approaches life, was something of a game-changer for me. Hm...sounds like the beginning of a hub...;-)
Positive Thinking has the (utmost) and (greatest) effect upon the whole of your being and even as well upon the complete wholeness of that which is the Essence of your Life and Living. For that it moves you from out side (natural thought) consciousnes to the inside (Spiritual thought) consciousness, the very core of the thorough consciousness of the true (YOU).Wherein positive thinking then is able to work it's overall blessing of raising the 'Christ Man', in you to the Throne of grace and thereby granting all of the beneficence of Goodness to your "all self". You who reside in the body flesh which bespeaks then of all of the overall repair and well state of being that is the given reward for your changing of mind, (The Guard) if you will. The (WILL) being ever the builder, when the foundation is strong the building is steady in it's standing.Only the positive nulifies all negative.
Know you then that (All Postive) in the whole of the true self is the only acceptable banner to wave in Life and Living.
Servant of The All in All
When I was in Kuwait and Iraq a lot people were bitching and complaining about being there and how bad everything was. They made themselves more and more miserable; and us others with them.
I tried to enjoy the good things I saw and learn something about another country and its people. I spend several trips in Kuwait City, getting to know a country that is so foreign to me. The atmosphere, the food, the architecture were so unbelievable strange and still beautiful in their own ways.
And Iraq was full of history and some great architecture as well! But more (sadly) impressive was the difference between Hussein's palaces and how his people had to live! How they only had an hour of electricity a day and stood in line for six hours to get a tank of gas!
Time went on much faster because I made it a point to see the good things! The great people I got to work with and the things I got to see! It wasn't a walk in the park, but positive thinking keeps you sane and makes the time away from your family go by much faster!
When you try to see the good things in life, the bad can't hurt you as much anymore!
A positive impact in your life! I've been reading and practicing books on "positive thinking" from a very young age, and can tell you from experience that you can achieve what other will call "unbelievable", by thinking positively and by having a positive attitude.
Positive thinking creates positive results and negative thinking produces negative results.
I think it effects your whole outlook on life! For example, if you blow a tire on the road, it could ruin your whole day if you don't think positively. "Thankfully it went out before we were on a busy road" instead of "Damn it all!"
I think it can change lives. I'm a bit of a doom gloom kind of person (not on purpose) and recently I've been trying really hard to think positively. I've been meditating on attracting positive energy, and since starting this practice have felt more at ease.
I think the mind is a more powerful tool than we realize. We may never fully unlock the potential of the human mind.
Great question, great topic. By experience we see that positive thinking yields great rewards such as positive experiences, positive emotions, positive actions, etc. It gives way to good health. Thinking is central to life and determines much of it directly. God's Word/the Bible Says, "As a person thinks in their heart so are they," or literally in Hebrew it says "As a person opens the gate/thinks in their soul, so are they," Proverbs 23. "As water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person," Proverbs 27. "Be Transformed by the Renewing of your mind," Romans 12. "The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing," Romans 15. "According to your faith it will be done to you," Matthew 9. And there are many more words from God's Word on this. So, our thoughts are like the programming of a computer, it determines what the computer will have and do, and so it is with out lives. And further, we need to not just have positive thinking, but also truth thinking. Because we could think positive about something, but maybe that is not enough, as when we make a mistake that affects someone, we need to think positively but also go and reconcile the issue with them. Or, we could think positively that if we drive through a red light we will okay, but that is not true, at least not naturally, and so we must think positive in truth. This, being another application of God Jesus' words in John 4, where we must worship God in spirit and truth, where spirit can mean our human spirit and/or thoughts, and also truth/God's Word the Bible, and in 2Thessalonians 2 it says that we are transformed by spirit and truth together. I touch into these things in my hub "A.D.D." is not A.D.D., here is a link to it http://spiritntruth.hubpages.com/hub/ADD-is-not-ADD Thank you again.
Being optimistic will greatly change the mindset of human and other aspects of life. When it comes to problem, human knows how to deal with it despite of the surmounted problems that he'll be facing since of the belief and confidence in self all things will be okay in the end.
if you have any of my writing you know that i believe that positive energy is a definite plus in our lives. i believe that our body's wellness is directly related to positive energy and as a matter of fact whenever i have had surgery i have asked the doctors to use only positive talk while i was in their care. whether they did it or not i do not know but i hope they did.
i believe also that my daughter is still on the planet in part because she has a positive attitude. she and my grandson both. they get up each day facing huge mountains and have a positive outlook for that day.
so in essence, i believe that positive energy has a HUGE effect on lives.
For me positive thinking goes a long way when it comes to getting us out of trouble. It also makes you be what we can actually be and improve ourselves.
Positive thinking makes such a difference. Mentally, physically, spiritually.
There are some great posts in this thread/question.
I need to work on thinking more positively myself. It's much easier to focus on the negatives.
Positive thinking means less stress, less disease, more confidence, more drive, more friends, more acceptance to others' views, and so on. Every one can add to this list.
When your thinking is positive, your actions also has a stamp of positiveness. Without positive thinking you become lackluster and insipid, but with positive thinking it becomes easy for you to succeed in life.
The positive effects of positive thinking are:
Reduced Stress: In turn negative thoughts would lead to increased stress.
Uplifted mood
Increased energy: In turn negative thoughts lead to lethargy and feeling unergetic
Increased mental capacity read more
Positive thinking isn't a cure-all, but it does affect your whole personality and attitude about life itself. A positive attitude acts like a magnet drawing people closer, where no one wants to hang around a sourpuss.
I think it has a comprehensive effect on out entire lives. Also believe that it causes us to have better health and derive more happiness out of life.
It sure beats negative thinking (aka stinking thinking).
It removes those nasty negative thoughts everyone seems to carry around. If you think positive, it'll become a habit, and boy I love those good habits. If people are being mean and stupid, it wont have an impact on the person because those thoughts simply aren't accepted. If we focus on all the positive things in our lives we'll realize that it doesn't make sense being negative since we have so much.
I think much of what people view as their problems is literally "all in their minds". I think positive thinking can improve your life by changing how you view things.
There are two possibilities.
Positive thinking can affect your actions so that you lift yourself and others in a positive direction.
Positive thinking can blind you to reality and lead you astray.
What's the difference? Awareness... especially self-awareness, but also awareness of reality and an awareness of that on which your attention is focused.
Through Christ awareness can exceed all mortal limits. Only then will positive thinking reach its full potential (turning water into wine, walking on water and more).

How much do you believe in positive energy?I don't mean something like the law of attraction, but just the simple positive energy being able to impact your life significantly. What are some of your experiences or stories where you believe your positive energy or good karma came into play?

There seems to be a fine line between "I can do this" and "let go and let God".It would appear we can and must do both. But perhaps there is another way to look at it.

Why is it easier to think the negative first, than the positive? Why can't it be the other way around?

Do you believe that we need to stay positive to feel good?In the growing field of self-awareness today, we are told that we need to stay positive to feel good. We have a drive to constantly stay happy. We continually put pressure on ourselves to stay in a constant state of joy and happiness, if we...
