   Why is it that all Christians seem to think if your not Christian, your Satans spawn?
   
   I've read the bible a great many times and I don't remember it saying anything about non Christians being Satan worshippers or Satan spawn. I don't even remember it saying that all Christians would go to heaven as far as as that goes. Why do they feel the need then to persecute anyone who does not believe as they do? It makes no sense.

   I can only comment that I think it's hard to think what "all" Christians think.  Here in Europe we say 100 people, 100 opinions.  If Christians think theirs is the only true way then all others, goes without saying, are then false.  I personally think there are many ways into the light.  Stick to your beliefs and live as you see fit.  There is enough philosophy and religion to go around for all of us.

   First to begin with Christian faith is based on heaven or hell. Once you choose to follow Christ and do all that he said in his word then you are expected to go to heaven whether through death or when he returns.
   
   Sadly enough some of us along the way falter and are promised forgiveness, but by some christians judgemental standards you aren't forgiven ost of the times  because they remember your past they almost act as agents for those whom they claim to be Satan spawn.
   
   The bible also state you cannot serve two masters choose either so if you don't, indirectly your life is open to the devil.
   
   Submitting too Christ means you allow him to take control of your entire being because automically other things can get in.
   
   The bibe says  the wheat and the tears dwell people come across as if they've arrive and they may not make it.
   
   Also from my stand point Christainity will always come across offensive but that's what the word says. I of myself being a christian find it difficult but again that's the principle.

   First of all, one is painting with a very broad brush when one says, "All Christians." I consider myself a Christian, and I do not consider non Christians Satan's pawns. I contend that some people have not been exposed to the Word and others have not been called (to the Lord) yet. Those who have not been “saved” will be judged by God when they die. By the very definition of God, one will be judged by someone vastly smarter and moral than either of us.
   
   Furthermore, I do not believe that all Christians will go to heaven. I even believe that there will be rapists, murders, and other people who have committed terrible crimes in heaven (they will have to been saved before dying). There is scripture to support my contentions, and I will provide them if needed.
   
   What Christians should be worried about is sharing the good news, saving souls, and helping each other in a fallen world. Telling people that God hates gays, nerds, fat people, Muslims, ethnics, or the poor is dumb and spreads hate. I would hate Christians too and for the longest time I did. I am sorry that I do not have more time to put a more coherent answer together, and I wish you well in a chaotic and absurd universe.

   I apologize. My statement of all is off, I should have said all the Christians I have met.
   
   For those that have attempted to answer this question, I thank you. I appreciate all replies. To Yols-a, Christianity is not a faith based on Heaven and Hell. It is actually a faith based on the actions of Christ and Christ only. To be a Christian is to be a follower of Christ. This is not dealing with heaven and hell, only showing a way that people should live their lives. As to being expected to go to Heaven, your not. The Bible clearly states that he will claim no souls until he comes back for the rapture. Even then he will only take the Righteous. Righteousness is not dictated by a set of beliefs, but by the way you live your life. There are many I've met, Christian and Non, that fall short of this.

   It's news to me that all Christians, or even most Christians, think all others are "Satan's spawn" and persecute nonbelievers. But there's that qualifier, "seems." That makes it a personal feeling. From my point of view, it's not reality. Maybe that's why it makes no sense.

      It might have gotten your point across better to say that hasn't been your experience. Assuming tht's not what you meant, but it does come across as saying he's wrong as opposed to just having a different experience than you have...

   Not all Christians think as you say they do. The bible does say all Christians will go to Heaven. John 3:16.  Christians just don't want to see anyone go to Hell when they die according to what the bible says. It's not a bad thing  to not want someone to go to Hell.

    All religious people not just Christians will always refer to you as a satan if you tell them that you don't believe what they worship and the reason is because they are extremists and ignorant, here is what every religion tells you ( God loves you, God is great, God forgiving.........) but if you don't do as he/they say then you are going to hell he is going to put you in a fire 10000000 more intense then the fire we know, so how is he forgiving and he loves me. any how I give up on religion long time a go for me religion is just another way of politicians way to control people.

       Actually, I'm religious, but I certainly don't think that mine's the only spiritual path. Calling someone "Satan" because their path is different from mine seems like bigotry and drama, not religion

    Well, that is the same underlying issue for all religions, where "their" God is the only God and so on. And the non-believers are satan or simply to be killed. Which is utterly pathetic since all Gods are one. But oh well, so is humankind stupidity and fanatism.

    Many people believe Christians are judgmental because those are the experiences they have had.  They want nothing to do with Christ or faith in Christ.  Who can blame them.  Christians need to step up and be what Christ intended us to be to non-believers. What are Christians?  What makes them special?  If Christians are judging, they are not doing what God wants, which is to get His message right. read more

    There are lots of us out there who value the good in people of all faiths, and think that calling someone "Satan spawn" is not at all what Jesus had in mind.
    
    (I'm seeing certain folk being asked "You said WHAT?"at the Pearly Gates....)
    
    Just wanted to add on that, as Christians, we're called upon to love our neighbor as ourselves.
    
    Not our Christian neighbor.
    
    Not our straight neighbor.
    
    Just our neighbor...
