What do you think is a spiritual awakening?

When you realize we are all spiritual beings traveling in a body at this time. Plus when you realize the spirit world is all around us and they are there to help and protect us. Some people know these things early on and others travel through life unaware.

Are you able to communicate with your guides or any other entities?

No. I did see my mother over me while on a layover in Hong Kong and  she died in 1993. I was told years ago I was mystic so maybe that's why I don't have to have physical proof. That was the first time I had anything like that happen.

It is an experience when you realize that it is not so important what do you think but what do you know from within. That experience cannot be "thought" about or talked about, it is just the experience of something new, some opening, realization of reality. You just know that you are, that you, as a consciousness can never die...

When you become the awareness, instead of the mental processes, your life changes and so many doors open for you. I completely agree. Thanks!

I'm not sure a spiritual awakening would be the same experience for everyone, but for me, it was when I realized I am soooo much bigger than I thought I was. Not in a physical sense, but in the sense of being a critical gold thread in the universal tapestry. It's a recognition that no matter what your current conditions say to your little mind, that you matter; that your presence is significant and you know that you have everything you could ever want, related to spiritual qualities, if you will allow it.

I talk extensively about "why" we have a hard time recognizing this awakening in my book, Finding Home - Breaking Free from Limits. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians, vs 12: For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

I think that says it all. When we clean the glass, (see through our limited view of ourselves), we will know our true being, just as we have always been known.

    Blessings - Joleen

When one finally realizes that there is a God and a hidden world all around them. I believe the results of this awareness, are what some call "the fruits of the spirit" namely love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and perhaps a loss of the fear associated with death.

I like your reply, especially the last part. There is so much more to us than what most of us have been taught. We have so much love and support and are forever all connected.

Awakening is when you realize the world around you is partly an illusion and you are more than the physical body you were raised in.  Deconstruction is when you are able to undo the conditioning placed upon you that is not your truth.  Of course you need to know the difference.  Transformation is raising yourself from that deconstruction and finding your inner self void of the dross - being in the world but not of it.

A spiritual awakening is when we become aware of who we truly are. God, the Divine, Source Energy, the Universe, all of the above: There can be no universe without mind entering into it, so with that said we are the world in which we experience on a daily basis. We are one with the universe an when we become aware of that, is when one will experience a spiritual awakening.
