What if you only had 120 days left to live (2012 Mayan Apocalypse)? How would you spend your days?
The Mayan Apocalypse is just 3 months away from today (8-22-12)!, which to me means nothing more than the end of their Long Count Calendar,.... but, thinking along the lines of "Carpe Diem", ... What If?... Shall you seize the day?
Travelling, visiting places where I have never been before. Also trying to make my life better by enjoy it as much as I can and helping many other people.
Asking every one who believes the world will end to send me all their money and property deeds. They won't need it anyway.
That works if it's merely a crazy prediction or interpretation, but if there's a planetoid hurtling towards Earth and scientists have no way of avoiding collision, then all that money won't mean squat.
Hmm I would want a piece of the action, I would take the deeds and money as well. I think that I will get the good karma for it in my next life ha ha ha
Staying with my family is my first choice if 2012 really comes.
If, indeed, the entire world would be going to end, rather than just my own life, I would spend time in the places I love with the people I love most and forget about the preparations I'd have to be making if I were going to leave anyone behind. I'm afraid, though, that I will not know ahead of time when the world as we know it will end, so I will have to carry on with life as usual. Nevertheless, I will try to take a few more day trips and take a few more walks with my husband so we can make the most of whatever time the two of us have left together.
Rosana says it best - have everyone who believes the world is going to end send me all their money and property deeds.' They really won't need them if they're not going to be here.
But seriously, I'd bike around the British Isles, stay in all their B&B's, drop in their pubs every night to listen to the locals' stories, wake early every morning to the cockcrows and birdsongs, have roast beef and roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds every dinner.
And if the world hasn't ended by the day after the Apocalypse, I'll come home on the QE II.
120 Days, why did you choose such a figure first of all. Nevertheless, 120 days is too much to plan for. If I were to die in 4 months, probably I would go on the top of Himalayas (mountains) and stay there for the remaining time..
But, all this doesn't matter since I don't even know, what's in for me next..Oh wait, what's happening to me. . . . . . . . . See, I told you
LOL! Funny stuff, and you are right. We never know whats in store, "Tomorrow is a gift" as they say. The 120 days was a reference to the Mayan Apocalypse that has caught so much attention , Dec 21, 2012
Go find a beach somewhere. Find some nice Cuban cigars, and a 6 pack of beer or so, and chill with the family. Tell stories, and marvel about what's to come.
Now you taking take it easy, there is nothing we can do about the actual end of the world.
Much in the same way I am now living. If you wish to see the future in terms that most can understand, read Revelations in the Holy Bible and especially the part that speaks of the mighty men and the small. hiding under the stones and rocks trying to escape their destinies and just rewards. Perhaps this is ours to share, yet, can't we expect better in our beliefs and with faith in our God, no ,matter our religions, cultures and creeds? Now is the time to find your belief and strength from your belief in the fact that ..yes, there is a God and creator of all, and we are all subject to the same rewards and punishments.
Personally, I don't think anything will happen on Dec 21st, but it is a date that is 5000+ years in the making, so it is a landmark of sorts. I'm going to use Dec 21st as an end goal for a few things. One of which will be hubs. I will try my best to have 100 hubs by Dec 21st. I wish it could be more (but I work CRAZY HOURS). we shall see. No, we WILL see .
(Oh and call me "sir math alot" as I meant 4 months not 3 )
I was going to say I would buy a car and go joy riding. I would have gotten a loan that I would only have to pay three months on before I we all die. The I wondered about the karma on that action plan and reconsidered. Just kidding.
I honestly would ope that no one has to feel a lot of pain. I would hope that it is quick for all of us and we move on to the next world wherever that will be. I am at peace with the fact that I will die and no one can prevent my death or their own death. So why worry, why do anything different.
I think that I see my family and friends when I really want to see them as it is now. I will not make any extra effort to see them. I will make an extra effort to create better karma for when I move on to the next world, I would encourage all to do the same. I think this is one form of love and compassion for all not just kin and kith.
Best wishes.
I don't believe that nonsense of the Mayan calendar, because I know that the End of the World will not come for another few hundred years. I further believe that Mayans were devil worshipers, and all this publicity is designed to throw people off. The evil puts out lots of trash of the information to confuse the masses, and to cause them to lose faith.
The end of the world will not come as a result of man-made disaster, a natural cataclysmic event, or an alien invasion. It will come in the form of a world-wide war in not so distant future.
Losing faith means that you have lost faith in God, love, friendship, honesty, etc. People who lost faith, just pretend that they are experiencing those above feelings, because they really don't. That is the course that our world is heading, and that is why the future war is inevitable.
However I can tell you that I live a meaningful and quality life every day, as of it was a last day of my life...
