Is Obama Atheist or Muslim?

I know Obama has claimed to be Christian before. This is likely  a lie. How many Christians do you know that follow Liberal ideaology instead of Conservative? If Obama is Muslim, why does he put so much faith in science in support of man made global warming? If he is Muslim, wouldn't he think that God would solve global warming? I think he is only supporting Global warming to put more money in the politicians/scientists pockets. If Obama was Christian as he claims, why does he favor liberals, atheist, and global warming while saying we are no longer a Christian nation? If someone lies about their religious belief, what else won't they lie about? Is global warming, evolution, and liberalism the main politics driving the atheist belief system?

      I think I can see what you're saying...but...

I am not Conservative, I am considered Christian (since I believe in Jesus and the Bible), since there's no better word than that one (unfortunately, it connects me with a group of people that I don't necessarily agree with). Not all "Christians" are conservative, or even most...Conservative Christians are only the most vocal.

I don't know about Obama's belief system (although I am inclined to believe that one's belief system can change), but the real Christian doctrine is one of tolerance, peace, and reason. If he's a Christian, I think it's also quite possible for him to have a "liberal" agenda, there's no reason not to accept good science, and he knows that God helps those who help themselves. Why should any Christian OR Muslim expect God to fix what man has messed up?

And it's simply a fact that this country is no longer a Christian nation. Do you remember taking "Under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance? Have you noticed that Bibles are no longer allowed to be distributed at schools, even if a child wants one? Have you heard about people getting "offended" by hearing "Merry Christmas?" Have you heard about the removal of prayer and the ten commandments from schools and courts? (by the way, none of these things particularly upset me, it's just that they point out that the Christian God is not among this country's priorities). It's a nation mostly of non-believers (many of whom want to be in the "club" so they claim to believe something). Those who aren't non-believers belong to many churches other than Christian. And, I hypothesize that many of the people going to all these different churches (including Christian) probably wouldn't know God if He bit them on the butt, and don't really believe in their hearts anyway, so we're back to non-believers.

Wow. I can't believe some the the replies to this question.  Do you seriously think Obama and his family went to a Christian church regularly as a sham to hide his true religious views?  That would make for a good Dan Brown conspiracy novel but otherwise that view is laughable.
Science and some religions are incompatible but science and most main stream religions (not to mention well respected religious scholars) are very compatible.  (By the way, believing in Adam and Eve is WAY NOT mainstream).
True religion is about how you treat others and your environment.  It is most certainly not about reading some selected gospels written by men with certain beliefs hundreds of years after the events actually happened.
In order to stay relevant and important religions need to critically examine their histories and grow when needed.

      PS. Obama is American too.

      Obama would just lie.

No sense in wasting time on that.

He has been asked, and lied like a rug throughout his answers.

Except his freudian slip. If not corrected he would have went right on, and never known he had told the truth.

Marine, I'm a moderate conservative, but I do know liberals who are Christians. In fact, one is a Methodist minister.

I'm not saying there aren't acceptions. I'm speaking of the majority of the liberal ideaology. Which does Obama follow, liberal or conservative ideaology?

I certainly don't agree with most of what he's done, but I hate to question anyone's religious beliefs. If he were a good leader, I wouldn't care if he practiced Celtic animism. Of course, I would hate for a presidential candidate to lie about his religion in order to get elected. Just like with the Clinton scandal - what he did didn't bother me as much as the lies to cover it up. Does that make sense?

I agree with what you're saying, but by the same token I can sort of see another side of it...Let's imagine for a moment that we believe Obama was a great leader (maybe we don't, but we're pretending okay)...Let's also assume that we know he's Muslim (which we don't, but we'll pretend, again).

If you KNOW you're the best person for a job and you want it more than anything else AND you KNOW that being Muslim, you'll never get it...What do you do? This country wouldn't have elected him if they thought he was Muslim (which is pretty sad, as you said "If he were a good leader, I wouldn't care if he practiced Celtic animism") but we are not the majority. Whether you agree with him or not, if Obama lied about his religion it's pretty easy to see that he probably did it because most of America with their rigid beliefs forced it.

Personally, I feel that a person who would lie about his religious beliefs (or lack of) would lie about anything and cannot be trusted.

Do we not question someones belief, mentality, ideaology, character in a court room to decide freedom or sentencing? Why should a president be above everyone else? Yes it makes sense on Clinton, but if he didn't lie in the first place, it wouldn't take all those lies afterwords to cover up his lie.

Perhaps Obama would like to deceive everyone with whether or not he is Muslim or Christian while he pushes the liberal atheist belief to bring science above religion. I wonder if the ones operating the Fed. Reserve are religious or atheist?

Whether Christian or not, if he's putting science ahead of religion at least he's sensible. And it isn't like he's closing all the churches and outlawing anything other than atheism. He's smart, Bush was dumb. He's embracing something that'll take America forward, Bush embraced backward ideals and progress was limited. I say go Obama. And who gives a s**t what religion he is? He's running a country not a church.

If man made global warming is simply a political scam which it appears to be and he is putting our tax money in his and other greedy liars pockets, how much forward progress is he making for us? Again, his ideaology is what makes his choices unless he logically separates his personal ideaology for the countries. He doesn't appear very logical to me.

Have you ever tried the experiment where you fill a jar with O2 and one with CO2, seal them, then set them in the sun, and measure their temperature? If you had, you probably wouldn't be arguing that global warming is a political scam. I assure you, one of the properties of CO2 (and other things like man-made chemicals, fill one of your experimental jars with car exhaust)is that it holds heat.

lol Global warming is a religion in itself. It creates fear, dependency and purpose. The people fear they are killing the planet, they are dependent on government and scientist to tell them how to live to stop killing the planet, it gives them purpose for life in the illusion they are saving the planet. Is this not religion through science? There is no evidence to my knowledge that say's man made global warming is absolute destruction. A jar experiment doesn't prove we are making an impact in killing the planet. The same ones behind global warming are some of the same ones behind the industries they claim produce global warming.

There are some interesting videos on YouTube that claim they're Satanists. According to some there's a huge "Illuminati" scheme that's really run by a bunch of master-mind Satan worshippers, and the Fed. Reserve is a part of that. Talk about intrigue.

I haven't looked much into it, but if you look up Illuminati, Federal Reserve, or Satanists, you'll probably find something along the lines of what I'm talking about.

The only thing that troubles me about Obama being a Muslim. Is the fact that under Al'Sharia, we are now an Islamic Nation. And it is obligatory for all muslims to press for the implimentation of Shari'a Law within these borders.

Under Shari'a, they have all the legitimacy, and it is their right to attack us, because we are a muslim nation now and should; per the Qu'ran, be ruled by Shari'a.

    That's all.

that fact is that is Shari'a. Whether you want to believe it or not. that is the legal standing of our nation if we are a Muslim Nation. not wanting to believe something, doesn't make it any less true.

And people like you will be the first to convert when they come to impliment Shari'a

Our President is certainly not a Christian, but, I feel is a Muslim in belief; Saying this, I feel that he does not believe in the U.S. Constitution, nor our individual Bill of Rights, and that he was put in the office he occupies by the Illuminatti (Council on Foreign Relations) to table set for the Anti-Christ.
I , personally believe that Obama is getting ready to orchestrate an anti-thesis factor to greatly upset the status quo in the United States and thathe simply practices the  Muslim art of "Tequiah" (pious deception), whereby he can tell Americans anything at all to promote his personal agenda towards a One-World Government. It makes no difference if what he says is the Truth or a lie, only in-so-far as it steers America towards Socialism and the loss of our personal freedoms.

I know this may sound a little off the wall to some, but what is the best way for government to gain more power, control, and wealth? I think it's through religion. What better way to control individuals and atheist believers than to start a religious belief system of global warming when it creates religion by forming fear, dependency, and purpose?

    1. ncmonroe1981 profile image60
ncmonroe1981posted 14 years agoin reply to this

I see where you're going with that. Orwell proposed that the best way to do it was by creating  constantly shifting sets of enemies (i.e., wars) so that production increases while the quality of life does not. At the same time, fear and propaganda are used to keep people in order. Religion is only one way to do this.

Even if religion is used badly, that reflects on people. Not on the scriptures themselves, or the entity behind them (if one happens to believe in a God).
