Who is Satan?  Is Satan a human creation or was he created as an outside or other paradigm by God?  Is Satan a fear mechanism created by religionists to control people? Does Satan represent the forbidden or taboo in human psychology?  Are WE Satan?

God is positive and Satan is negative. We are to a certain degree positive as we were made in God's image. The satanic force allows creation to exist. Negative and Positive forces allow manifestation/creation to occur. Pure positivity is God. Satan is pure negativity. Our God/positive nature can be cultivated by focusing upon it. Some say the negative force is delusion. The positive force is reality.

With your question, I think of a quote attributed to Plato: "Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws"  I believe that different motivations drive us: Love is the highest level, duty is the second highest is duty, and the lowest level is fear. For some, fear is the only thing that can motivate someone to be good.

A human being can not be a Satan but can be a follower of Satan. I am telling you in a very basic way that God has told us about two paths: one, a good path in which you can find purity and Holiness and the second, in which impurity, sins, and dishonesty are in your way.
Now, Satan will lead you down the path in which there are darkness and impurity. The question is  "From where Satan has come", there is a brief history. Most of us have believed in "supernatural beings". We all, including these supernatural beings, are created by God. Angels and demons are also a creature like us. Satan was also from them and He used to worship Allah a lot, but when God created man (Adam) and told him (Satan) to prostrate before him as the rest of the angels prostrated, but he refused to do so. God commanded him to leave heaven. He asked God to give him time to mislead the children of Adam. So God said, "Go, I give you respite and try your best." So in that endeavor, he tries to divert people from the right path.
    Hope you found the answer.

Satan is absolutely a living being. The Christian Bible tells us that Satan began as an angel named, Lucifer. the name Lucifer means 'Bearer of Light" or "Morning Star".

The Bible tells us that he was a created being and that God created him in a perfect state. Perfect, but still a creation, not a god. The Bible tells us that he remained perfect and beautiful until evil was found in him. God did not create evil in him, Lucifer developed prideful and evil ways.   (Ezekiel 28:12,15).

Ezekiel 28:17 says, “Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.”

Lucifer got big-headed and began to desire for himself the honor and glory that belonged to God alone. The sin that corrupted Lucifer was self-generated pride.

This is the actual beginning of sin in the universe. The ability to sin was here before Adam and Eve. Sin originated in the free will of Lucifer. He was not deceived. He had a complete understanding that he was created and that God was supreme, but he chose to rebel against the Creator. His name was changed to "Satan" which means "an adversary, one who resists".

God judged him according to his sin and kicked him out of heaven along with one-third of the angels. These angels were convinced by Lucifer to rebel against God with him.  Lucifer, now Satan, was completely stripped of any authority or leadership in Heaven. (Ezekiel 28:18).

Although no longer in power, Satan can still go up to heaven and speak with God, he can not stay there. l (Job 1:6-12; Zechariah 3:1,2).

Jesus will return and Satan and his demons will sent to Hell and, Hell will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. - If you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, now is a good time to give your life to Jesus Christ. You live eternally in Heaven because you receive Jesus.  John 3:16 & Romans 10:9-10 ------
