Define what you believe to be spirituality?  What's your religious belief?  Why? Are people losing faith?

"WE ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS HAVING A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE...  WE ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS...    HAVING A HUMAN EXPERIENCE."

My religious belief is that of 'Benign Neutrality'.

People are losing faith because they are no longer afraid of 'the boogieman', and are questioning the obvious flaws in the religious dogmas of past centuries.

Shouting does not make your words any less vapid or vacuous.

Many people are not losing faith they never had any in the first place. The walk to god costs something - its costs self. For one to refrain from the lures of this world and spend time praying to jesus to help them get rid of their natural inclinations, the things they (think) enjoy and to even live a life of giving to others is hard. Its not something anyone is inclined to do, naturally. In fact the deeper you go in christianity the more of yourself you realise is loathesome, repugnant, full of unsatisfied wants and yet the flesh and the mind still want these things. Its a battle to get rid of yourself and let christ fill you up, his strength and spirit needs to take up residency within the mortal husk and teach the husker (lol) how to live a different lifestyle often giving up all those things that prior, the husker, enjoyed or liked to do or made an income of even.
In a world where do do is the motto and get and achieve is paramount, christ tells us to slow down and smell the roses. This small fact is often enough to cause ppl to back off. God says "let me handle your life" and many people find this hard also. Love your wife, lol.. wife obey your husband, lol, lol. :0) There are many contrary stipulations to the true christian walk and self denial is tantamount for sucess. This very foundation of christs teachings cause people to stumble and become distracted and fall aside even rebel. In a hurried world where you are in control, christ says pray without ceasing. Many forget this principle and try to do it with their own strength and fail because its god in us that makes is possible and god comes into us when we invite him, even plead and this avenue is again, prayer.
Its a hard walk, ive been through the mill many times but to discover that His way is best and i never needed what i thought i needed. I believe in jesus as messiah of god, his son in fact enough to discard my wants and ambitions and desires and place my life at his feet and allow him to do what he wants with it. This attitude causes many so called christians to fall by the wayside. Its unfortunate but its true. So when u see a struggliing christian having difficulties with something god wants him/her to do, don't point a finger and laugh, support them, edify them, encourage them because denying the world and yourself is something that the finger pointer doesn't even consider doing. God bless every christian who is fighting the good fight and loving god who always loves back tenfold.

spiritually is quite hard to define really.  Not necessarily religious is it?

I think sprituality is part of a persons personality some are always going to be more spiritual than others.

you can improve your spiritually, but it is like intelligence, some just are born with more of it than others.....

Spirituality in some way is like ‘Buddha-nature’, difficult to
describe, not easy to quantify but does exist. In general, to be "spiritual", there are four interrelated factors. (1) A relationship with the transcendent, generally seen as both immanent and transcendental. This relationship is focused on trust and surrender to the obsession to control things(2) A practice, either regular meditation or some type of prayer (but not prayer where the goal is to ask for particular products or for the train to come quicker, and we pray to our inner self). (3) A physical practice to transform or harmonize the body - yoga, tai chi, chi kung, and other similar practices. (4) Social - a relationship with the community, global, or local, a caring for others and an openness and inclusion toward others

Spirituality is an awareness that there is something more than mere physical existence. The awareness develops from a totally personal and private process within oneself. For some people, it is linked to a defined set of beliefs and views embodied within an organised religion. For others, it cannot be limited in this way. My beliefs and my path are mine. They have meaning for me, but I have no wish to impose them on others. As for losing faith, I believe everyone has the right to curse their gods at times.

I think spirituality is coming to the place where you realise that there is more to this life than the material things around you. THat life is biiger than you.

The Chairman of BOAC (What British Airways was known as in the 60s) apparently said "I spent my entire life trying to climb the coorporate ladder. And when I got to the top, I found it was leaning against the wrong wall". Well something like that anyway.

Spirituality to me is looking past the sh*t and seeing the good in everything. It's about living your life with the needs of others in mind above your own. Realising that one day you will be dead, so why waste your time chasing after the shallow things in life. Take time to sit an think about stuff. Stuff that matters.

Spirituality is all about living the reality of the invisible and the intangible.

Though I desire that all comes to that knowledge, I know that is impossible for in the grand scheme of all things, there are unbelievers and they too have their part to play.

Plain and simple - Spirituality of Humans is LOVE.

Nothing else needs to be said, except for the fact that the word spirituality is misused and interpreted through the hoax known as religion.

Humans do not need religion to be spiritual. The LOVE they feel is their own spirituality.
