God's people are given the power to become His children, we must put all effort obey the word, his word say's to obey the laws of the land, if you do not obey the speed limit, you are breaking God's word
Do you speak against other people?
God sent Noah to Genavah, he did not have Noah speak against Genavah.
how many times have some one cut you off in traffic and you call them names, when you do this, do you bask for forgivness
How many other ways are we breaking His word and not even thinking about it

It is not a power but a right given the followers of Jesus Christ. As human beings, none of us is PERFECT people so we are bound to make mistakes, to sin, but as Christians we know that we can ask Jesus to forgive us our mistakes, our sins, and through His death and resurrection He and He alone has the power to forgive us, and then it is our duty to try and not do it again.

Ninevaeh is where the LORD  wanted Jonah to go to prophesie or they were going to be destroyed.
Because they heeded Johnas warning their civilizations destruction was postponed for about 150 years.   Or something like that..

What if the law of the land is evil?  Does God command us to do evil? This doesn't sound like God at all. You make God sound inferior.

    Hi friends

The Christians should follow the pristine teachings of Jesus instead the teachings of Paul and the Church and their associates.
Jesus was a follower of Moses and like Moses he did not believe in any literal father of God or Son of God or Spirit as God.

    Thanks

I am an Ahmadi peaceful Muslim

Hi,  Where do you get that Jesus followed Moses?  Moses taught an eye for an eye, Jesus said to turn the other check, to forgive.  Moses gave the people a writing of divorce because of the hardness of their hearts.  Jesus said only in the case of adultry.  Jesus  does believe in the Father God and he did promise his spirit to those who believe.  The teachings of Jesus is of love for God and one another.
We all do make mistakes and sin.  That's why Jesus came and was crucified, so we could have forgivness of our sins.  As long as we are here in our mortal bodies we will never obtain perfection.  "For there is none perfect, no not one."   I ask for forgivness every night for I know at some point in the day I had a thought or feeling that wasn't pleasing unto him.

Are you sure of that? Or Are you hoping you are right? wink
Jesus' work was about love and mercy. Love for oneself and others. Mercy is about having compassion for those who do not know any better.
Yes, we all make mistakes, but mistakes are not sin. Sin is a religious term.
That is what you are lead to believe through the teaching of the bible(religion). Unfortunately, when you look at the actual events, then the truth is realize that he was executed for no real crime.
This is the only statement you made that would be correct to some extent. Perfection can be obtained, but only for a brief moment.

There is no god. Jesus' work was not religious, just code he used was in primitive religious language, because that's all there was at the time. Jesus in no way taught about "god" as a real entity, because Jesus' teachings were about being "god" in your own life.

Yes, Jesus is about love, mercy, and forgiveness.  The work of Jesus was not religious, it is spiritual.  That is the only statement you have made that is correct.  There is a God, Our Father.  Jesus knows that God is his Father, he spoke of him, he prayed to him.  God is spiritual.
Have you had a spiritual experience?  I have.  I have felt his love pour over me.  The most awesome, incredible love.
You are entitled to you beliefs, and I am mine.  No one will convince me there is no God.  I have felt him, I know he is real.

You felt something within yourself, and you're calling it god. When in fact, you lack the wisdom to understand your true power.

But, you keep on thinking what you're thinking. It seems to have you running in circles and apparently you enjoy it.

As for your sad attempt to claim god is real....you're too funny.

Think what you will.  God did give us each free will.  I do feel sorry for you.
Until your eyes are opened you will stay in darkness.

Darkness is what you live in my fine fellow human. It is you who has the wool pulled on your eyes. The fact that you are selfish and believe yourself to be honest is ironic to the teachings you have learned.

Your actions and words are in direct violation of your own teachings, yet you're not wise enough to even notice it.

And, if you actually understood Jesus' your flippant attitude would actually be different than what it is now.

It's funny you see yourself as the light and I live in the dark, yet I'm the one who lives in the here and now, and not waiting for the next shoe to drop, so I can live in a perfect world that actually doesn't exist.

WOW! You love to be selfish!

If not, then you know nothing. wink

There was this redhead one time who poured her love over me. I considered her a goddess. Is that the same thing or is there some other way in which we can distinguish love from gods? smile

It was very easy to convince you your god exists (love pouring) yet impossible to convince you he doesn't.

Seems this has very little to do with love. smile

You can't see the wind, but you know it is real because you can feel it and you see the effects that it has.  It's the same with God.  I can't see him, but I have felt him and I have seen the effect he has had on people.  Your right.  After the experiences I have had, it is impossible to convince me that he isn't real.

Yes, you can see the atmosphere and you can see the effects of wind, these are real physical characteristics of our world. To compare them with your invisible god doesn't even make sense.

You are making an assertion that your feelings and god are indistinguishable from each other, which really doesn't make any sense.

Only because you want to believe is the reason you can't be convinced otherwise.

You can see clouds, stars, but you can not see the wind.  You can only feel it and see it's effects.
You don't want to believe, that is your choice, your right.  I have the right to believe.
                  Have a nice day.

The wind is the atmosphere in motion and you can see the atmosphere. Sorry.

Yes, you have the right to want to believe in the nonexistent. The problem arises when you start to decide for yourself what you want to believe when it comes to the nonexistent.

You believe one thing but not another. You already said you couldn't fly, so you already have claimed to not believe in being able to fly. Yet, you believe in things that violate the very same category of physical laws that are violated by flying.

In other words, some claims in what you believe are completely inconsistent with your other claims and the real world. smile

Your explanation has no scientific basis whatsoever, but I'm sure that will not bother you.

I don't want to believe because your comparison and explanation regarding the wind is no reason to believe.  You need to provide better scientific comparisons in order to criticize ones non-belief.

Your analogy requires a fearful closed-mind in order to believe.

                    ...Oh-and-Have a nice day!
