God is One with many names. The difference has ,is due to geography and language.
God is the Light God is love.
All Religions are good and lead you to God.
God is Light...Hmmm OK, does it have a shape then? do you support idol worship?
The Light is pervading all,its very fine and intelligent. No beginning and no end-no shape.
Idol worship is okay as it is a physical representation of the light.Yet one must remember the idol represents the Light.Move from shape to no shape.
God is LIGHT becasue LIGHT is ENERGY and that ENERGY is all around us and in us, We canot escape it. Darkness is just without light and eventually light will overtake it and no one can stop that. LIGHT = ENERGY = LIGHT.
The thing is--energy is even in inanimate objects...
Its a representation of the Light which is formless.
The Muslims and Sikhs are against it because it could be misguiding. At the same time all is God so to worship anything as God is actually okay.
The first Sikh saint the Prophet Guru Nanak was against all forms of idol and image worship but look what has happened with the Sikhs ,you have Gurudwaras made by the followers as a sign of respect.
I dont see anything wrond in having a idol of Shiva or Jesus as both represent the Light ,man becoming God-man.The whole world is permeated by God but these spots become what s known as power centres, because holy ones have meditated there.
We were debating earlier on the meaning "the finger pointing to the moon-dont concentrate on the finger or else you will miss out on the beauty of the moon".Similarily use the idol to go beyond.
The Buddhists have mandalas intricate paintings on which they meditate .The monk must picturise the whole mandala which aids in improving your concentration powers.Ultimately it leads to one pointed concentration.According to Patanjali the father of yoga -seven breaths of one pointed concentration will get you enlightened.
Look at and an Indian idol and he or she will have four hands, just an example. This is symbolic-one hand will have a weapon showing the the aspect of the warrior-one can defend himself or herself, one hand will hold a book -showing knowledge, one hand a rose showing respect for nature and may be one hand showing a begging bowl- all comes from God.This is a complete human.
The Prophet Buddha would along with his disciples beg for food at the end of the day and whatever came in their bowl they would say thank you and be gratefull to God the provider.
Well, why do you quote your own messages everytime?
Similar questions will require similar answers. Why repeat the question? And sorry ,was just trying to anwser your question.
You missed the point, hmmm re-read my messages above
I must add here.Hindus believe the idol can come alive. The god or goddess actually resides in it.Different idols have different powers.
Like different people have different stages of spiritual evolution when we sure know that all is but one...

Because they want to conquor the world for self glory. They simply want to enjoy earthly, mortal, unhuman treasures for the sake of society. They do not bother for poor, sick, helpless, downtrodens, society's image etc. They are like disobedient child falling down and down and does not bother...

Is the Bible a new idol to worship?I have never followed a book without question. I hear many that believe that the Bible is straight from heaven instead of the Catholic church who put it together in the first place. I hear people say, "The Bible says this or that."Do people worship the...

Why do Christians fall down in prayer?I can't find in the bible where Jesus or the disciples made the people to fall under the anointing. The thing is, a non believer said such things are fake and there is no mention of this phenomena written in the New Testament...what should I answer...

I have studied world religion extensively since I was a young girl (for nearly twenty years now) and one of the things I enjoy about various religions is comparing their Gods. For instance, the Christian faith has a trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spigot.. wait, that's Spirit. (Five...
