Last night, I was sitting in my bathtub and the sink faucet literally turned on full blast by itself. I tried to logically talk myself out of the idea that it was paranormal, but I know that it couldn't have been anyone in the house. I didn't turn on the sink, and my husband had left the bathroom awhile ago...and I had watched him turn the sink off when he left. Ghost? I'm not sure, but it was definitely creepy and freaked me out! What is your most recent paranormal experience?
I've never experienced any "paranormal" activity that couldn't have subsequently been adequately explained by my imagination, assumption based on lack of evidence, or something in my brain's subconscious.
I once woke up to the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. I heard them climb the stairs, turn the corner, and walk into the room next to me(but the door to that room was closed). I was pretty freaked out, but got up to investigate. Sure enough the door was still closed, and nobody was inside.
I slept with the light on the rest of the night...
Wild! There was one particular house that I lived in in which I heard footsteps such as these many times. More slamming and opening of doors though. Thanks for sharing! Do you think you have a ghost in your house? Is your house old or fairly new?
My mom once had a similar experience of hearing footsteps climbing the stairs, walk along the landing and stop outside her bedroom door. The temperature then suddenly dropped dramatically. The next day, she discovered that at the time it happened, her friend had committed suicide.
I once worked as an anchor/reporter for a radio network. When I finished a newscast on the second floor, I was required to photocopy the hard copy and file it. The only photocopier was on the third floor, and there were no elevators in the building. I thought I wasn't afraid of anything in a locked building, but I started having feelings of fright in the stairwell, and these feelings only increased with each trip I made to the third floor. I didn't see anything, so there couldn't be anything there. Right? One night I was so scared I actually asked a male employee to accompany me upstairs. That was the last straw! I confided in a psychic friend who told me that it wasn't a ghost, but only a minor elemental that fed on scaring people. She said to let it know that I wasn't afraid of it and it would leave me alone. On my next trip, I rounded up courage I wasn't feeling. I doubled up my fists and ran up the stairs shouting, "come on out with your dukes up and fight. You want a fight, I'll give you one!" My little "friend" never tried to frighten me again.
The psychic probably forgot to mention that the 'minor elemental that fed on scaring people' was just your own imagination.
I should have known better than to do a serious post on a hub that seems to have been taken over by a cynic. You really are troubled, aren't you?
A serious post? You have fears of a stairwell, you consult a psychic and that's supposed to be serious?
<--- Yes, see how troubled I am?
MizBejabbers - the thread-thieving happens all of the time here at Hubpages. I almost stop coming to the forums because of it. I do believe that what you experienced is exactly what your friend told you. Great job! Blessings to you.
Percy: No, no, really, I'm serious! Only this morning in the courtyard I saw a horse with two heads and two bodies!
Edmund: Two horses standing next to each other?
Percy: Yes, I suppose it could have been.

Lord 2: True! True! The land is full of omens of bewitchment. Only last week
in Cornwall, a man with four heads was seen taking tea on the beach;
and two women in Windsor claimed to have been raped by a fish!
Lord 1: I, too, have heard such tales. In Herongate, it rained phlegm; and
they do say that, in Edinburgh, the graves did open and the ghosts of
our ancestors rose up and competed in athletic sports!
Angus: ...and a farmer in Rye heard a cow reciting Geoffrey Chaucer; and
a young woman in Shropshire saw Geoffrey Chaucer in a field, mooing
and suckling a young heifer!
Edmund: Gentlemen, gentlemen, surely we aren't the sort of people who believe
in this sort of thing. I mean, next you'll be telling me is
that washing your hair in bat's droppings stops you going bald.
Lord 2: But it's true! I couldn't find enough bats, and look what happened!
(removes his hat to show his baldness)
Sometimes you remind me of the weird kid who would sit in the corner talking to himself at school dances.
Your posts have nothing to do with the OP.
LOL! They have everything to do with the OP, indistinguishable, in fact.
Thank you for being the only one in this thread to stay ON TOPIC.
I wouldn't mind a positive paranormal experience coming along about now; preferably something to do with lotto numbers...
It's been quite a while since paranormal seemed to be the norm. But, when we lived in Florida, I had just gotten out of the shower and there was something outside of the bedroom door. It was growling menacingly. I thought it was my husband playing a stupid joke. I walked over to the door, a little scared, and called out for him to stop. It just got louder and I told him again to stop, that he was scaring me. It kept on going, getting even louder and I finally got up enough nerve to jerk the door open. There was nothing there, the noise had stopped the instant the door opened and the hall was empty. I walked down the hall and through the foyer, turned the corner and my husband was sitting on the floor engrossed in a game with my son. They hadn't heard a thing. I was spooked for a while after that, but it never happened again. I never did figure out what it could have been.
What is it with Florida and the weird happenings?
Oh, I forgot about this one. There was a town in Brasil I lived in for 3 months, and we basically walked everywhere. Often we would be coming back into town after dark.
There is a house that we jokingly referred to as the 'witch's house' for a while, it was just abandoned, windows missing, and overgrown with ivy. One night, while walking home, every street lamp turned off when we got under it and back on after we passed it as we walked down the road of the 'witch's house'. Those lights were on timer, fyi, not light sensors.

Has anyone had any paranormal experiences, whether they've seen or heard a spirit- or any other unexplained activity?I haven't had any as of yet. However, my mom says that she saw her father in church after he died, and we also smelled his cologne around the house. Also, my sister claims to have...
