It was invented by pagan Greeks and has no place in a true Christ-like society.
The very word reveals its satanic roots. "Demo" clearly comes from the same word as "demon" and "cracy" probably has to do with how crass and pagan it is, plus it just sounds like something evil, don't you think? Would you eat something if you knew that it had "cracy" in it? I sure wouldn't. It sounds nasty.
That bastard Ishtar probably had something to do with it too.
Good point, but I don't have time right now. Just pretend I posted a street map of Athens and drew a misshapen red pentagram over it in MS Paint. That's all the proof you need.
Democracy is Pagan! So is Christmas and Easter! Lol Hey Eric, ever think about getting into stand-up comedy? You're hilarious!
You do realize she's going to come and get you for saying this?
So is Republicanism (representative democracy).
Democracy and Republicanism is not the same thing as being a Democrat or a Republican party member, though.
What type of government do you then suggest? I believe that an ideal Christian world would consist of a communist lifestyle. However, I do not believe that it should be a government mandate. Additionally, with the number of Christians that actually live this way being almost non-existent, I feel like democracy may be the next best bet.
@ts see i always knew all best things have come from pagans...by the way if what came from pagans needs to be discarded , we would have to leave many useful things...
Hoy...the "Satire and Parody" categorization tipped no one off?
Lol, I was wondering what the hell this was all about and then I saw the category. Pretty good one, because I was rolling my eyes considering on responding factually.
I've just been The Onioned on Hubpages!
LMAO...I've just been "The Onioned" on Hubpages. Awesome!
Oh...and sorry....quotes around the whole thing of course. I don't work for bigezine after all.
We need some kind of decision-making process for determining if someone is democratic. Perhaps some kind of "yea or nay" system with everyone participating?
Please no Eric. You'll only start some lady off that has an obsession with lucifer.
Ishtar isn't a bastard! She's a ...hmm, are we allowed to use that word here?
At any rate, democracy was invented by a bunch of guys who thought "voting by everyone" was a great idea, provided that "everyone" was defined as "male, owns land, not a slave, and belongs to one of the ten tribes (Buffet, Bush, Forbes...)." Yay for democracy!
I don't think Ishtar would've been allowed in.
"Crass," though -- hoo boy yes. Have you ever read Aristophanes?

In both the Federalist Papers AND the Constitutional Convention, it is extremely clear the distaste most of those involved in creating today's America had for democracy, which they saw as mob rule which allows "emotion" rather than "reason" to drive important decisions.Friday's...

I believe that, ultimately, Democracy is a gift we continually give OURSELVES. But, as a society, a nation, are we ACCEPTING and USING it?

President Biden indicated that MAGA supposedly is a threat to democracy. However, it is the present Democratic faction that is a threat to democracy. Cities that are ran by Democrats are becoming increasingly unsafe with escalating crime. In New York City, people are being...

Are they serious? I don't know whether I should take this as a sensationalism or something to pay attention to? I usually expect better from Newsweek. https://www.newsweek.com/2021/12/31/mil … 60953.html

Our Presidential Inauguration event is symbolic of our Democratic process. In this case, the peaceful transfer of power. Even as an event that highlights Donald Trump as our new president, I do not think it is a celebration of the new president. It is a symbolic testament to the strength of our...

Why does the definition of a democracy and republic matter?I know the basic difference between a democracy and a republic - so the question is: Why does it matter? Why do some people feel that it is important to point out that most Americans believe that they live in a democracy - whereas, most...
