God's Amazing Faithfulness

Updated on August 9, 2014

"Is the grass really greener on the other side?"

Do you ever wonder if the grass is really greener on the other side? Recently, I have gone through some challenging changes. I'm not going to go into much detail, however, I will say this: I have really been struggling with trusting God with my future as far as career and relationships. I know God is in FULL control, but I still struggle with that age old question: "Is the grass really greener on the other side?"

It wasn't until something on my Facebook Newsfeed caught my eye. It is a simple, yet powerful reminder that God is in control and has bigger plans for our lives. It is a picture of a girl with a small teddy bear saying, "But I love it God." Little does this girl know that Jesus is holding a BIGGER teddy bear behind his back. I share this image with you because it reminds me of the profound truth that just because we're in what we think is the "Dream Situation" God might have something greater in store, and we just need to SURRENDER and TRUST HIM! It's amazing what can happen when we just pray, "Lord, help me to trust you and seek YOUR will for my life." My prayer is that you will remember that God is ALWAYS in control, and that if you're in a situation, whether it is a job or relationship, that sometimes that job or relationship might not be your final spouse or job. God could be up to something greater than you can fathom. Just remember Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." WOW!! God works ALL things for the good of those who love him! What an amazing truth!
